The Rosco LitePad Swivel Arm is an 8.75" ball and socket arm with a 5.5 lb weight capacity that will support all Litepads except the 24 x 24" model. The construction retains much of the movement of the Snake Arm but with a higher maximum load and increased mounting options. One end has a 5/8" (baby) male stud with a 1/4"-20 female thread. The other has a 5/8" (baby) receiver.

A: From the center of the center mount to the center of the end mount it can be up to around 16 inches.

A: Currently the price difference is not as broad as this. As to why there is a any difference in price, we would go with the explanation the chrome plating costs more. Also know that retail pricing is not linear. It is based on cost, supply and demand. Those factors are what determine price. A much cheaper price might reflect too much inventory and the product must be moved. A high price might reflect short supply and high demand as well as manufacturing cost.

Q: 3. Will this work w/later Sony Multi-interface feet?

A: Yes, this would work for the Sony Multi-Interface foot.

Q: 4. will this work for a canon fx 300 video camera or is it designed for smaller dslrs?

A: As long as your camcorder has 3/8 -16 female tripod sockets to connect the camera to the Manfrotto 131DD Tripod Accessory Arm (or you will be using a tripod head on the threads to convert to the smaller 1/4 -20 threads, and as long as the tripod can support the weight of the arm and the camcorders you wish to connect to the arm, it should be compatible for your usage needs.

A: The upper lever, under the monitor, is the ball lock.

Q: 6. Could this fit safely on a manfrotto befree (weight limit around 8lbs)? Or is there a safe weight limit?

A: The befree supports 17lbs, so it should be ok.

A: The weight limit for the VIJIM LS02 Camera Desk Mount with Auxiliary Accessory Arm is 6.6 pounds on the main vertical pole mount, and 3.3 pounds on the horizontal accessory arm.

Q: 8. Is there an adapter that allows it to be attached to a light stand?

A: There may be some adapter out there that could be used but it would be a sloppy fit. I have mine mounted to a Manfrotto tripod that has a geared center post. This setup is ROCK SOLID when taking photos with studio lighting.

A: A fair amount; think GoPro, Mirrorless or small DSLR. Just remember its not a Magic Arm just a simple clamp.
