I bought this as a leap of faith, and that leap paid off.

If you're reading this review, you're already a Sibelius user of some sort, so I won't get into how awesome Sibelius itself is. I want to concentrate on the upgrade aspect because that's what gave me pause.


I have a paid version of the regular Sibelius and was looking for a way to upgrade to Ultimate because I find the regular version too limiting. I contacted Avid directly, and they told me there was no upgrade path and I would have to start from scratch by purchasing a full version of Ultimate or going with their $20/mo plan.


While I was waiting for their response, I looked around and found this listing. I absolutely trust B&H, so I figured that if they were offering an upgrade, it had to be legit. There were eBay listings for the same thing, but those are often sketchy, but B&H is 100% trustworthy.


Anyway, I bought it, got the email with the license key, and was able to activate Ultimate without an issue. I simply put in the new license key along with my existing system ID and license key and it switched it over.


It comes with a year of free updates, and you can purchase 3 years from Avid for the same price ($199) that you would pay for a year under their monthly plan.

[10 Mil] I needed old fashioned overhead projector transparencies for my laser printer. I intend to make printed circuit board iron on etching resists. When something becomes "obsolete" that seems to be an excuse for most office supply stores to price gouge. For less than the price of ten laser transparencies [that I could find any place else on line or off] I now fifty.

[Gloss] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The paper works great with our HP Z5200 printer. The color is vibrant and images are very crisp as long as the resolution is right. Occasionally we print posters which we need to sign or write on, it holds up Sharpie writing well so the marking doesn't bleed through the paper.

[14.04 lb] The transparencies feel very thin and flimsy, but they print well and easily show a full tonal range. For the price, these are great and make good digital negatives.

[14.04 lb] Really great combination. Previously used Wipe 'N Clear product which would take a little while to clean my iPad screen. This product combination (wet/dry) is fantastic. Cleans very quickly and leaves a slick feel to the glass. Basically takes the screen back to brand-new feel.
