Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this controller work with Sony A7r2?

A: Sorry, no. The Sony a7R II uses a Multi Terminal (Mini USB) connection for a remote; there is no LANC connection on the camera. Here are two controllers that work with your camera. Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Commander with Multi-Terminal Cable B&H # SORMVPR1 and Sony Compact Remote Control Tripod B&H # SOVCTVPR1. Some people buy this just for the controller then give away the tripod.

Q: 2. Does this work with Sony FS7 or FS700 - also is there a version that control IRIS for the above cameras ?

A: To do what you wish you need the Sony RM-30BP Wired Remote Controller B&H # SORM30BP plus an all electronic lens such as the Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS Lens B&H # SOSELP18110G on the camera. The is no LANC control like the VariZoom that will work.

Q: 3. How does Zeiss Compact lenses compare to the CP.2 lenses? Pros, Cons etc...

A: The ZEISS CZ.2 cine zoom lenses are designed to be companions for all ZEISS cine primes including the ARRI/ZEISS Master Prime and Ultra Prime, in addition to the Compact Prime CP.2. The lenses are color matched to each other and will provide similar image performance in terms of contrast and resolution.

Q: 4. Can you remap the F- and F+ buttons to something else other than Iris, like ISO or shutter speed?

A: We are not aware of any ability to remap the buttons on this controller I'm afraid.

Q: 5. Iam planning to buy this Zeiss CZ2 70-200 my pl mount for shooting my feature film on my Red epic dragon and the black magic Ursa mini pro4.6 camera,I have already canon cn - e 145-60 mm t/ 2.6 pl lens,My doubt is how is the picture quality of this lens like boketh, breathing, sharpness, colour retention, chromatic abration, distortion exetra is it better than cp2/3 lens, iin par with ultra prime, fuginon cabrio zoom like 19-90 t/2.9 or 85-300 t/2.9-4 lenses,I know it is a full frame lens,so there Will be change in angle of view when used on super 35 sensor,-asok

A: The ZEISS Compact Zoom lenses are high-end cine zooms which are designed as companions for the UltraPrime and MasterPrime lenses. They offer similar color rendition and contrast, with the added benefit of having full-frame coverage. This means on super 35 sensors, you are imaging within the 'sweet spot' of the lens. Regarding the angle of view on different sensor sizes, please review the technical specs at: a href= http://www.zeiss.com/cine. target= _blank www.zeiss.com/cine./a

Q: 6. I ordered this for my 16-35 2.8L II Lens with PD-85 Port on a Delphin housing and the ring is very loose on my lens, there is no grip for zooming when in the case. Is this a faulty piece?

A: If you are installing the ring correctly and it is loose on your lens then you will need to speak with AquaTech directly for a resolution. Please email our customer support and they will be able to assist further than we can through this medium. You also need to make sure you are using the P-70ex with the PD-85 dome port for this lens.

Q: 7. Why is this lens 19000.00 in comparison to Sonys native lens of the same mm?

A: Performance. That is what you are paying for. This is a Zeiss zoom, the finest in the world. With it you get unbelievable sharpness, flatness, lack of distortion, no vignetting, no breathing during focus, all in a rugged body that will work all day forever in the most demanding conditions for James Cameron. You do not want less than the absolute best in the world in such a camera situation. Think of your Ford Focus then think of a Formula 1 race car and you will start to see the difference in purpose and why the cost differential.

Q: 8. will it work with JVC HM650?

A: It will probably work with your camera. We use Canon GL1 and Son. It workswithboth.

Q: 9. Can this unit be used with Sony PXW X200? Thank you!

A: Yes, this controller has the 8-pin connection which will make it compatible with the Sony PXW-200.

Q: 10. i have a sony ax 100 will this work with this camera?

A: If you get two adapter cables, yes, you can use the VZRock or any LANC zoom control to control the zoom on the AX-100. While this is awkward, it is the one workaround available. Here are the two cables. Manfrotto AV-R to LANC Cable (7.8 ) B&H # MA522AV. Sony VMC-AVM1 A/V R Adapter Cable B&H # SOVMCAVM1.

[Plastic] Perfect zoom range starting at 70mm. Will be perfect for 4k applications as well. Excellent image quality and color balance. But you expect that from a Zeiss lens

[0.68 lb] I was looking for a photo backpack that could: 1) carry some personal items in addition to camera gear; and 2) fit a person 6 foot 4 inches tall with a longer than average torso. After much review with inconclusive results, I decided to take a chance on the MindShift Gear BackLight Elite 45L Backpack. It fits the bill in both respects. I also purchased a Think Tank insert that reduces the amount of camera gear that can be carried when the original insert is removed and increases the space for personal items. The flexibility this provides will serve me well.

[0.68 lb] The best bag. I got my first one of these bags ~four years ago for my 4x5 camera. It’s incredibly well made and still in great shape. I had a larger bag for my hpx170/xtreme fisheye but it was too large. I found this bag also fit that perfectly. It’s the best bag for an hpx170 set up or view cameras. I love how the waist belt is removable to make the bag more compact. Build quality is excellent and holds up to being outside on the ground a lot.

[0.68 lb] First of all I am a traveller first photographer 2nd I had previously been using a cube in one of my packs (osprey 36l) trying to carry all of my stuff for carry on air travel Nikon D500 sigma 150-600 contemporary /24-70 f2.8 / 70-200 f2.8 /10-20 f3.5 and a GoPro if I’m going snorkeling etc

I wanted something that would carry essential travel items as well as camera gear not one or the other

I like to bring minimum 2 changes of clothes (so I can do laundry if my main bag gets lost or delayed )

This bag easily fits all of this and more with enough room to bring even more clothes I would guess there is enough room for all of my camera gear and everything I need for a 2 or 3 day overnight excursion

I’m 6 feet tall 260lbs I have large shoulders and neck this bag is very comfortable however I have yet to try it in the heat

The build quality is great

I have yet to fly with the bag because of this stupid virus but I don’t think getting it on a plane will be hard

I do have some extra tips

1 use your 2 day clothes as packing around your gear this way if you have to take the icu out for air travel you still have your clothes plus it’s extra protection

2 the rain cover fits nicely in the tripod pocket for safe keeping
