Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with other cameras? Specifically Sony a7siii

A: No, the following unit is made and designed for blackmagic pocket cinema camera.

Q: 2. Where does it mount to the Pocket Camera?

A: It's designed to mount on rails, not the camera itself, but the rail mount can be unscrewed leaving a 1/4-20 hole if you want to mount it another way.

Q: 3. Does this work with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K? As it also uses LP-E6 batteries... Thanks.

A: Yes, this product should work with the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is powered by LP-E6 batteries, which is the kind of dummy connection this offers.

Q: 4. does it include the batteries?

A: No this unit does not include batteries. All batteries are sold separately.

Q: 5. Does this come with the batteries?

A: There are no batteries that come with this unit. All of the batteries are sold separately.

Q: 6. this rig works with black magic cinema camera 4k ? (Not the pocket)

A: This rig is made for the Pocket camera only.

Q: 7. how long does it power Bmpcc?

A: With two fresh batteries, you should get about 4-5 hours of run time.

Q: 8. would this work for Blackmagic cinema pocket camera?

A: The IndiPRO Tools POWER POD produces 7.2 VDC while the BM Pocket Camera requires 12-20 VDC. So this power solution is not correct.I would suggest the Switronix PocketBase and the Quick release as the best solution at this time.

Q: 9. can you power an external monitor with this as well as a bmpcc simultaneously?

A: No, it does not have a D tap or any other sort of DC out other than the plug for the Pocket Camera. Also, the power demands of the camera itself would make doing this impractical.

Q: 10. Is there an adapter to make it usable for BMCC as well? I have both BMCC and BMPCC, it would be great to have a battery system that can go between 2 cameras.

A: I actually had to get my ends changed for my BMPCC. A local shop swapped my wall charger end (straight) with the battery pack (right angle) as far as the bmcc I think you may need to cal indipro or a specialized cable maker to make you an adapter.

[2] I am currently using this product on a Canon 6D. It will work with both a Battery Grip and Body. Both have a rubber flap that allows the cord to come out the bottom. The batteries swap out well and hold into place. maybe the could fit a bit more snug but still works. if you are uncomfortable then you gaffers tape. with four off brand batteries it can extend shooting to around 14 hours. but if you swap out you can go continuous. The rod clamp I really cant use. would be nice if it were more versatile, but I have it sitting on another bracket. all in all,IMHO, this would be better than using a BG-E13 battery grip.
