Q: 3. Is the QR planet an Arca-Swiss plate? Can you provide the size?

A: The QR plate for the Oben BA-126 Single Lever Ball Head is a specific Oben plate measuring about 50mm wide. We suggest Oben RP-20 Quick Release Plate for best compatibility. https://bhpho.to/3JIruaR

Q: 4. What grids are compatible with this item?

A: Unfortunately Hive does not have a grid for this item.

Q: 5. What is the difference between BE-126 and BE-126T?

A: The BE-126T is a little smaller Diameter wise and lighter weight. A kittle better for Travel and mad for Tripods with legs that fold upward.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Peak Design Slide Strap base plate?

A: Yes. The QR plate included with the Peak Design Slide Strap is an Arca-Swiss style. The Oben ball head uses Arca-Swiss style plates.

Q: 7. What is the difference between the BE-126 and the BC-126 heads?

A: The Oben BC-126 ball head features tension control, whereas the BE-126 ball head does not.

Q: 8. Can tension be adjusted on this head to hold a camera in place??

A: The Oben BE-126 Ball Head with Arca-Type Quick Release does not have tension control. There is only the single main locking knob for the ball and a separate pan lock.

Q: 9. If I use this softbox with the iKan IB508-v2 Bi-Color LED Light do I need to remove the barn doors? Or can I slide on the softbox around the barndoors?

A: I would have to say YES. The B.D.s must be removed. The softbox is held in place by two vertical velcro straps, and I don't think there is enough clearance between the top and bottom doors to fit the velcro straps.I am basing this on online information about the light, and the fact I own two of the inflatable barndoors. If removing the barndoors is a quick, no-tools operation, then I'd say go for it. The eggcrate louvers are really more effective than I'd thought, and all together, I'd say getting two LED banks plus the inflatable softbox/eggcrate units save me about 1/2 if not more of my setup time!Good luck!

Q: 10. What is the best way to repair a puncture in one of these units? The manufacturer's website provides no such information.

A: I have this product as well. If it were me, I'd get one of those inflatable raft repair kits. Try googling it.

[Yes] For Christmas I was thrilled to receive a Platypod Ultra! I knew in advance that I was getting the Platypod, so I stared my ball head search in mid-December on B&H. After narrowing down the field, I started watching a few video reviews, and I finally decided on the Oben BC-126. It seemed to be the perfect ball head for the price. It had everything I needed:

- 26.4 lb Load Capacity
- Arca-Type Compatible Quick Release
- Tension Control
- Separate Panning Lock
- Bubble Levels

The two most important features to me were the Arca-Type quick-release plate (because I have a Really Right Stuff L-bracket on my Fuji X-T2) and the wonderful tension control.

This would be my second ball head purchase. The other, a much more expensive Really Right Stuff BH-40 stays on my tripod all the time. For the Platypod Ultra I wanted something more economical, but still had the Arca-Type quick-release plate and tension control.

I’m very, very happy with my purchase!

[0.5 lb] Great source of soft light to diffuse a small LED. I used this soft box attached to my Generay 6800. I used it as a kicker light or a follow light for moving actors or to film quick insert shots of objects and extreme closeups to brighten up the exposure. The Generay 6800 also a great CRI above 90 is roughly 10x4 and the sides extend an inch on both sides of the soft box when inflated, but works well without even covering those two ends with some CineFoil.

[Inflatable] I use the BC-126 on an Induro AT214 tripod to support a D7100 with a 70-300 mm lens and extension tubes. The tension adjuster helps set the camera exactly where I want it with absolutely no sag or creep even in portrait mode. The head and panning plate are light and sturdy and operate smoothly. For my amateur purposes, the BC-136 would have been overkill.
