Featuring a Gold mount battery plate, the Dracast Pro LED500 Daylight Light Panel Gold Mount Kitfrom Dracast Pro LED500 Daylight Light Panel Gold Mount Kitis an ideal choice for the location or studio work where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. The LED500's daylight-balanced output is well suited for outdoor work or color-matching HMI fixtures, while its high CRI of 96 renders colors with precision and fidelity. Dimming from 0 to 100% is conveniently done with a back-panel knob that adjusts the output with negligible color shift. The low electrical draw of just 30W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. This compact 12 x 6" panel can be used worldwide thanks to its included 100 to 240 VAC power adapter. You can also use the onboard Gold mount battery plate with 14.8 VDC batteries when mains power is unavailable. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED500's 45° beam angle. A carry case is included for convenient storage and portability.

A: The light only is 12 x 6 x 2With the yoke complete it makes the light approximately 16 x 11 x 2

Q: 3. Does the battery get charged from being on when the unit is using AC so then you can use it outdoors? I don't see any cable to hook to battery directly.

A: You have to charge the battery separately to use it remotely, it does not charge while on the light. You can use AC plugged directly into the unit for powered use however.

Q: 6. What's the approx. Run time on a fully charged battery?

A: Gary, It depends on the battery. One Watt-hour runs one Watt for one hour. At full power this light draws 30 Watts. If you dim it down at all it will draw less. A 150 Wh battery will run this light at full power for around five hours. A: I just bought the filter kit and drop them in when I need it. it comes with varying levels of CTO.

A: Yes. This should work well. However, it really depends on what camera settings you will be using. Also, be smart, the Daylight is more powerful than the bi color, so get the daylight and gel it if you need to go 3200K.� �I recommend buying the filter holder that goes with it. 5

[30 W (Maximum)] Coming from a family of artists, I'm used to using good gear when I'm painting. This was perfect. The light is strong and very natural, ideal for art photography or still life painting. It is also very portable and adaptable. I love it. 5

[CRI 95] I own 3 daylight units. Each of them ranges from 5150-5350K. None are 5600K. All have the same slight green tint, which doesn't really have to be corrected (a 1/8th minus green was too magenta). 5

[Proprietary] I purchased this light after a videographer friend of mine recommended it as it is lightweight and portable so I am able to take it with me to different photo shoots. I must say, I am pretty impressed. The color accuracy is spot on unlike my other LED panel I had before this. The lighting I get from this daylight is as close to natural sunlight as it gets. With it's consistent color temp and lightweight / portable features I must say this is the best light I have gotten my hands on to this day. Looking forward to purchasing another one as a back up for shoots. 5

[Aluminum] The LED500 Pro from Dracast is an optimal choice for those that work on location or within a studio. This is due in part to its only weighing 4 pounds as well as its ability to produce an exceptional balance output and color matching HMI. Its CRI is able to render 95 colors with impressive fidelity and precision. A back panel knob is able to easily adjust dimming (100-0%) as well as negligible color shift output. The frame of the light is constructed of long-lasting anodized aluminum and receives support from a sturdy U shaped yoke that has locking handholds on either side along with an average 5/8 inch receiver. Since it is equipped with a 100-240 VAC power adapter, this lighting option is able to be utilized globally. Additionally, the Gold Mount battery plate with 12 VDC batteries can be used in the event that a main power source in unavailable.
