The Blonder Tongue CATV Modulator SAW Filter Channel 48from Blonder Tongue CATV Modulator SAW Filter Channel 48is an all-solid-state audio/video modulator that provides a modulated visual and aural RF carrier output on one specific CATV channel. The unit modulates the audio and video inputs and provides the requested RF CATV channel output for use in a CATV, MATV or SMATV system. The modulator accepts standard (sync negative) polarity video at a 0.7-2.5V peak to peak level from sources such as a TV camera, video tape recorder, TV demodulator or satellite receiver.

The modulator features a +55dBmV RF output level, and an IF SAW filtering for adjacent channel operation. All aeronautical channels are offset positive with a tolerance of ±5kHz as required by FCC 21006. All level controls are located on the front panel. The RF level control provides up to +55dBmV output. The video modulator control sets the depth of modulation for 87.5% over an input video level range from 0.7VP/p to 2.5VP/p. An audio modulation control permits adjustment for ±25kHz peak deviation of the aural carrier.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this board work with led pars

A: This can be used for LED Pars but is not ideal for them as each fader will access one feature of the LED par so depending on the channel mode you can burn through channels quickly. If you have several pars set to the same dmx channel and can get by with 48 channels than this will work for you.A better option for LED pars is the RGB3C IR or the RGBW 4C IR as there are presets and built in programs. These are specifically built for LED pars.Another option would be something like the DMX operator series or the Show designer 1 if you wanted run scenes and programs that you have created, but not adjust colors on the fly (as this can be cumbersome with this option).

Q: 2. Can I use this to connect the 2 line XLR outputs from a Sound Devices Mix Pre-D to the Sound Devices 633 TA3 inputs?

A: The Remote Audio CA744INL Dual XLR to Dual TA3 Channel 3/4 Input Cable can be used to connect the 2 line XLR outputs from a Sound Devices Mix Pre-D to the Sound Devices 633 TA3 inputs.

[4 lb (1.8 kg)] Great device, bought to fix a ground loop hum between my catv coax coming into the house and my other audio-video equipment.
So now no more hum and the video reception quality did not degrade.

[CATV channel 48] This is the second VRD-1FF I've bought. The first one lasted 9 years, but this spring our house was hit by lightning. The old VRD-1FF started adding 6dB signal loss, so I figured the lightning hurt it. Just like the original, the new VRD-1FF has eliminated the ground loop hum that was on our incoming CATV Cable
