A: approximately 5 x 4.5 x 5

Q: 3. How does this connect to a device? What does the end look like?

Q: 8. What are the dimensions?

A: This is a 4.6 ounce plate which has a 1/4"-20 screw on one side and 1/4"-20 threading under it. This is designed specifically to work with the Steadicam Solo and will have the proper dimensions for that system.

Q: 9. The plate tightens down, but there's no way it would tighten enough to be secured to a grip arm. Are you supposed to remove the HEX screws and move the plate to the lower section, using only two screws?

A: Loosen the hex and the main screw fully. Place the weight on the arm, then tighten the hex screws so that the plate is snug - this will move the plate down. Then fully tighten with the main screw clamp. The hex screws are there to allow travel of the plate for different sized (diameter) arms...

Q: 10. Is a 5 pin male xlr available?

A: For availability and shipping questions please email sales@bhphoto.com

[6.6 lb] Absolutely perfect material for diffusion. Only downside is the price, but it seems to be the only game in town.

[6.6 lb] very useful for a variety of things, sturdy and easy to cut. Today I used a small piece inside a bottle to block out the back label which was thermal printed, it's translucent so light can penetrate but you can't see the text quickly and neatly solving the problem of removing the back label lettering. Makes great diffusion and easy to clean.

[6.6 lb] I started using Savage translum vellum almost 18 years ago. Recently I tried other cheaper products from online mega “Prime” shopping sites and was terribly disappointed. Savage translum vellum has many uses in a studio environment. It is my go to material for multiple projects. I use it primarily on a white table to produce flawless shadows under jewelry and other retail products as well as to diffuse lighting on the fly without having to setup a bulky soft box.
