Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I presently have a Benro A1192TB0 Travel Flat II Tripod. Will this gimbal head work with it?

A: I neglected to mention I have a Nikon D750 and a Nikon 200-500 F/5.6 lens.

Q: 2. Has anyone tried the Really Right Stuff PG-CC Cradle Clamp for Gimbal Tripod Heads (BH #REPGCC) with this head?

A: To our knowledge the RRS PG-CC has only been tested with the Wimberley WH200 II, so the results may vary when using it with the Benro GH2.

Q: 3. Is this compatible with a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary?

A: Yes, the Sigma 150-600mm lens is compatible with this gimbal head.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Nikon 400m f2.8. I am worried that I will not be able to attach to the foot of the lens, or do you have to attach the PL-100 plate to the lens foot?

A: You attach the plate (PL100) to the lens foot.

Q: 5. does it work with vanguard veo 265ab tripod?

Q: 7. What is the size allen wrench that came with product?

Q: 8. does it have ball bearings ?.

A: The Gimbal head does not have ball bearings.

Q: 9. Can anyone recommend a flash bracket for this

A: This Wimberley F-1 Telephoto Combo Flash Bracket is a great option. You would need to get a plate that is long and will stick out the front of the foot of your lens. It would need to be a plate that is double dovetail like most Wimberley plates are. The Wimberley flash bracket will go in the front of the plate as it sticks out the front of the gimbal. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/240877-REG/Wimberley_F_1_Telephoto_Combo.html

Q: 10. what is the size of the PL100 plate that is included with the Benro head?

A: 3 15/16x1.5 inches

[Yes] Long undecided and confused by seeing a multitude of gimbal heads, I finally realized that the experts at B&H would resolve the dilemma. I simply described the lens the head was to support. B&H man made what I found to be the obvious choice. Thank you.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I was debating on ordering the Wimberly head, but I am glad I order the Benro GH2 and saved the extra money. This is a good, stable, well-built head. It supports my 600 f4 very well.

[Yes] I was looking for a gimbal head but pausing at the cost of some of the heads. When the price came down on this I decided to take a chance. I am a serious hobby photographer and I think this will serve me well for a long time. Action in both directions is very smooth.

[3.95 lb] It holds my 100-400 canon with no problem. It will hold even more. All slides work smooth and knobs hold very well. There is a safety catch for the quick release plate. I would buy it again.

[Gimbal Head] I bought the GH2 to replace another gimbal that had a load capacity of 26 pounds. The load capacity of the Benro GH2 is 50 pounds. It is well built. The vertical and horizontal adjustments are about a quarter turn from full movement to lockdown. I immediately did some shooting with a large 500mm lens and this product was decidedly better at holding the equipment in place with minimal vibration. Good product at a fair price

[Gimbal Head] Solid, sturdy, and smooth. Reasonably priced for what it is. It's heavy, but when you're shooting on heavy, stout tripod legs with a long and heavy lens, you're not expecting to run and gun. A suggestion: look for a YouTube video by Steve Perry called How to Balance a Gimbal Head. It gives good, clear advice on setting up the gimbal head on a tripod with your camera and lens on it for optimal performance.
