Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the counterweight bar accept standard one-inch barbell weights?

Q: 2. Is this Jib Arm compatible with the CST-100 Tripod stand?

A: The Proaim 18' Jib Arm is only compatible with the Proaim P-JS jib stand. Proaim P-JS Heavy-Duty Jib Stand BH #PRPJS • MFR #P-JS

Q: 3. I didn't receive a stand in the box. Is it supposed to be included?

A: The Proaim 18' Jib Arm is just the arm and its parts to operate. The Item does not come with support for the arm and will need to be purchased separately.

Q: 4. Can I use this gadget with Sony PXW Z150?

A: Yes, would make a great combo to the jib system as it will support 17.5 lbs

Q: 5. Does the 20lb capacity of the JonyJib 18 include the weight of a motorized head?

A: You will need to account for the weight of the motorized head.

Q: 6. Is the tripod included?

A: The tripod is not included with this jib. this Jib includes Proaim Alphabet 21' Jib/Crane Arm Assembly Hardware Carry Bag

Q: 7. Will the "502AH Pro Video Head with Flat Base" attach to this jib?

A: Yes, the Manfrotto 502AH Pro Video Head with Flat Base can attach to the Proaim 10' Wave-2 Jib with Tripod & Tripod Dolly Kit when used with a half ball adapter such as the Manfrotto 520BALLSH 75mm Short Half-Ball, BH #MA520BSH, along with the 75mm bowl adapter included with the jib.

Q: 8. What gimbal pairs best with this crane?

A: The Proaim 18' Jib Arm can accommodate most any gimbal or head you wish to use. It is more important, however, to consider what gimbal or head works best with your camera.

Q: 9. Has anyone had experience front operating the jonyjib jr? I need a short jib to use with my fluid head now, but i like the expandability of the jonyjib. My concern is that if I mount my fluid head to the camera platform, then perform a jib up maneuver, the camera will tilt toward the fulcrum instead of going straight up. If anyone can share experience of this type, I would greatly appreciate it.

A: When raising the front of the JonyJib Jr, with a fluid heads pan arm, this problem would only exist with really lightweight cameras: I.e. if you raised the camera too quickly the leveling cable could get slack and tilt the camera instead of just raising the arm. If you have a heavier camera this is not an issue. It can be mitigated, for lighter cameras (5 lbs or less), by adding some weight to the camera platform.

Q: 10. What tripod heads can I use?

A: The Libec JB50 Jib Arm Kit with Tripod with Dolly features a 100mm tripod mount with a 100mm head bowl and a 75mm adapter. This would allow you to work with both 100mm and 75mm tripod heads. Example 75mm head https://bhpho.to/3G5Uq80 Example 100mm head https://bhpho.to/3eZfuRK

[67.25 lb] The JonyJib2 is a thoughtfully engineered, professional looking, and indispensable accessory for any high quality production. The workmanship is top quality! The JonyJib easily can compare to jibs costing tens of thousands more. Easy to transport and assemble, sturdy and strong! Definitely not a 'toy jib' even for this reasonable price point! I would caution you to note that the 9' or whatever number is not a measure from the fulcrum to head but an estimated height that the camera can reach above the ground. The fulcrum to camera mount length is 51.5 on the JJ 9' and each 4' extension will add 3 feet to that number as each section overlaps by 1 foot.

[No ] I have used other jibs with back breaking results. If you have a light camera and a decent tripod, this is great. My three year old granddaughter could carry this.

[20 lbs ] Great job. Quick and intuitive setup . Smooth movement and not very bouncy for a light jib. Used on a beauty commercial and still life shoot and very happy. Great value!
Only notes would be to change the weight and camera set screws to hand tighten fasteners, not thrilled about needing a tool to adjust but not a deal breaker.

[No ] This jib held a 27lb unit with roughly 80lbs of counterweight and had no issues for normal operation. Setup was a little confusion and operation as well, but after figuring out how this system works we loved it.

[67.25 lb] We just used it on our latest music video with a Canon C300 mark Ii rigged on it, and it handled perfectly. It's super flexible with the range, so if you are in a small room, it still works. The shots are so smooth because of it.

[50.0 lbs ] I am a Videographer in Santa Clarita California.
It took me 3 years of searching for the perfect Jib, my initial choice was Varizoom but they got so ultra expensive that I started looking into Proaim 10' wave 2, tripod kit with pan and tilt head, I got to say I made the right choice, this jib is perfect for me, because I can shorten or extend the arm length with out extra pieces.
The build quality is great, very robust jib, no wobble whatsoever, I am buying a 6 inch mitchell extension at the tripod base, I think the tripod is a little shorter than I like, and I don't feel confident extending it higher, I think Proaim makes a tripod that can actually expand with no problem.
I highly recommend this product.
Blessings to you all.

[67.25 lb] I have this Wave 2 Jib Arm with Tripod, Dolly, Track, and both Track Wheels and the very large Caster Wheels and must say that this is an outstandingly great system. No regrets and no criticisms. Yes the mounting base requires a 100mm heavy duty tripod and suggest the Proaim one included in the package, (actually I have two of those tripods, and a Proaim Orion Geared Head and Tilting Base Plate) and am totally impressed with all of these products. Their equipment is beautifully designed and built.
I'm looking forward to getting some of their car mounts and more in the future. Great investments.
