A: The 12-Pin connector has been put on the VariCam LT specifically for powering and controlling B4 lenses. There is even a setting in the menus for Lens Connect Type that you can set to B4. As far as chromatic aberration the best way to limit or avoid that will be to use a high quality adapter. MFT Services Ltd makes a very nice B4 2/3 to EF adapter with Multi Layer Coated Optics.

A: The varicam LT is the smaller version of the varicam 35. there are a lot of differences between the Varicam Line and the EVA-1. the varicam is a 10bit through and through camera system. the dual ISO are 800/5000 as apposed to the 800/2500 on the EVA-1. varicam is an AVC-Ultra camera that records to P2. there is a long list of differences between the cameras that can be found listed on the Panasonic cinema camera website.

A: The VariCam LT will have an active EF mount that will bring over lens data and allow you to control the Iris of the lens from the camera. However it will not have Auto Focus or Image Stabilization.
