Q: 7. The screws from the handles to the the cage brackets are too small - unsure how this would work without a screw adapter?

A: The PRL Perfect Grip Handles with ARRI-Style Rosettes (Set of 2) (B&H# PRLMCHANDLES) features ARRI-style rosettes, the screws in the center of such rosettes being too small for 1/4"-20 female threads. (That's because 6mm is just a bit smaller than 1/4".) However, they handles may be used with the included rosette mount adapters. Those adapters will fit into many cages, such as the PRL Director's Cage for TVLogic F-5A and VFM-055A (B&H# PRLMC5TVLGC) with its 1/4"-20 threads and anti-twist pin receivers.

Q: 8. What is the maximum weight recommendation for camera and lens with this unit?

A: There is no hard limit on the weight that can be used on this. Up to 25 pounds can be used without an issue. Basically, the heavier your build and the longer the lens, the easier the Squish will move. At some point, it may move too easily for your liking. It is more an issue of preference.

A: The connection does not have a mic as the headphones do not feature a mic, only listening.

A: The Wild Iron Squish Horizon Correction Camera Head is engineered for extreme environments and temperatures from −40 to 100 °C (−40 to 212 °F) while still maintaining its useful properties.

[Hardcover] I found this book to be an excellent presentation of photography techniques. I really liked the emphasis on doing things in-camera, rather than relying on post processing. Great overview of composition techniques and other considerations for getting a great shot. I learned a lot about long exposure photography, which I've never tried. Great discussion of the creative process around choosing a vantage point, lenses, apertures and shutter speeds. And of course the photography is excellent. It has definitely inspired me to go out and try some of these techniques myself!

[4.75 lb] I can't compare this to other options on the market since this was my first jump into a globe soft box. But I had an important shoot, a round table discussion of VERY powerful executives for a client and I needed a way to light everyone evenly with an attractive light. I bought this globe on a whim, connected it to my Came-TV 100 watt COB LED, and the light quality was AMAZING. I'd suggest that you look for an inexpensive hard case (or at least harder case than the unpadded bag this light comes packed in) because if you are anything like me, you have a lot of equipment and because of the necessary engineering techniques to make this work and fold down easily, it is very vulnerable to crush damage. I currently make sure to tell my assistants that this has to be "top of stack" in any loading, but I am looking for a harder case (which will probably be more expensive than this globe) so I don't have to worry about damage. The quality of the light is what I will be protecting, not the cost of the globe (which is strangely inexpensive). I will be buying more of these immediately. Instantly upped the quality of what I provided the client.

[Yes, photos] This is truly an amazing device and worth every penny. It feels so much more solid than all of the other stabilizing devices out there and is clearly a well-designed piece of craftsmanship. Footage on GoPros, Canon T3i Rebel, and Kodak Playsport have all turned out great! Overall, it's a must have for the indie filmmakers out there looking for a way to achieve a high level of production value at a reasonable price.
