A: I agree, it is probably so. I don't understand why they all do it. Usually to sell different battery grips and accessories. They also change the size/shape of their batteries, every so often. It is like the printers and their ink carts.

A: yes the 4k video is uncropped, you will not lose your wide angles or have your lens field of view changed in any way.

Q: 10. How well does it handle noise? I have the 800 which doesn't do that well above ISO 3200.

A: According to Ambassador user reviews and Nikon techs, the D850 is capable of shooting the same level of shot at 25,600 ISO that the D810 did at 12,800. That is double the ISO capability and it is said to have less noise at those levels as well. It is said to be a HUGE improvement over the D810.
