  • Depth Rating: 200'
  • Made by hand in USA
  • Crafted from corrosion-resistant ABS and polycarbonate blend
  • Light gray/white on the front, sides, top, and bottom but clear in the back to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and rear camera controls
  • Light gray/off-white color reflects sunlight to keep camera cool when shooting at or above water's surface, and also offers better contrast for improved viewing of camera, monitor, and O-ring seal
  • Design eliminates need for O-ring groove or channel, which can trap sand, dirt, or debris
  • Two double-passivated, stainless steel locking lid snaps help ensure secure closure
  • Front-loading camera mounting system makes installation and removal a breeze
  • Camera mounting plate allows ready access to battery and memory card, and features a standard 1/4"-20 threaded mount for connection to tripod topside

  • Dual fiber-optic ports for the connection of optional, external strobes via the appropriate cords
  • At depths greater than about 60', or when diving in dark conditions, an external light source is necessary to provide adequate illumination and restore colors that get absorbed by water and turned into muted blue and green shades
  • To preserve natural colors of subjects and environments in images, try to stay within arm's reach of what you're shooting. The further away you go, the more light is absorbed by water, which acts like a big blue/green filter

  • Access to all camera functions except for flash switch and mobile device connection button is afforded by large, ergonomic, mechanical controls, including push-buttons, knurled gears/knobs, and levers
  • Rear controls marked with easy-to-see, laser-engraved symbols that won't fade or fall off with time
  • Extra-sensitive shutter lever for easy activation
  • Front rubberized grip for secure hold
  • Two 1/4"-20 threaded holes are included on bottom of housing for attachment of optional tray with grips, which will improve balance and handling underwater while offering attachment points for lighting arms

  • Built-in, flat, optical glass lens port with a 3.0" diameter allows full use of zoom range
  • Optional, accessory wide-angle and macro conversion lenses can be attached to port's 67mm front threads with minimal vignetting, while 3.9" color-correction filters can be fitted onto front of port
  • INON UWL-H100 lens results in least vignetting and best clarity
  • Wide-angle lenses provide greater angle of coverage to allow you to fit more in frame, while macro lenses magnify your image to enable close-ups with greater clarity and detail
  • Both types of conversion lenses get you closer to subjects, reducing amount of water in between you and therefore minimizing distortion
  • Optional, external color-correction filters, available for tropical blue and green water help restore hues that get absorbed underwater in order to bring back richness, vibrancy, and color accuracy to images
  • Since color filters reduce amount of light that enters lens, they are most effective in sunny conditions at depths of about 80' or less
  • Color filters not recommended for use in conjunction with external lighting, as combination can throw off color accuracy in images

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. G7 x mark II electronic manual?? Where

A: hi - go to Canon USA and you'll find downloadable manuals for all their products. The G7X Mark II is a fabulous camera - highly recommended.

Q: 2. If I have things in my background but I don't want to be seen in the video. Does it come with a blurry future at all to block an unwanted view or stuff?

A: There are techniques you can use to make the background blurry; there is also a Portrait mode that will make the background blurry.

Q: 3. Does exposure compensation work when shooting in manual?

A: Yes, if you change the exposure compensation it will change the meter by that amount on the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II.

Q: 4. I'd like to use the G7x for dental macro photographs. Is a special flash diffuser attachment needed? If so, is it available to add?

A: Lee-I am not a dentist, never have been and don't play one on TV. having said that, I've helped a few docs find a good working combination to take photos for their dental practice. I think that the Canon G7x is a great camera for many things, but I doubt that doing dental photography would be one of them. I'm sure that you could rig up something that would be good enough, but worry what kind of message that would send to patients and how often you would struggle to document exactly what you need. I would think that some sort of macro ring light would be necessary and that you would have the best luck shooting through some sort of continuous LED ringlight, but there's probably nothing specifically made for the G7x-at least as far as I know. Canon is a great choice for you and if money is an issue-you could find something used-maybe a Canon 7D and a used 100mm macro and then look for lighting for the macro as well? Just IMHO.

Q: 5. Is there a polarizing filter or the equivalent?

A: Yes there is! If you hit the menu button which is located on the bottom right of the backside of the camera. After that go to menu screen number 5. Second from the bottom should be ND Filter. By clicking that you can turn on or off.

Q: 6. I'm seeing a lot about hearing a clicking sound in the videos shot with this camera. Does flicking the lever below the lens which turns off the ring stepping get rid of the clicking?

A: I have never experienced clicking noise on video but I dont use the ring for zoom. There is a switch that allows the ring to move fluid without notches. Amazing camera. I had all the Sony RX models and still prefer the Canon for many reasons.

Q: 7. I am a YouTuber and I wanted to know if I could promote your product on my channel

A: Yes totally go right ahead.

Q: 8. Hello! Was wondering if I buy this for my M50, would my Canon EF-M 32 mm lens work for this housing?

A: Yes, the Ikelite 200DLM/A Underwater Housing for Canon EOS M50 & M50 Mark II works with the M50 with the Canon EF-M 32mm lens attached. But you will need the Ikelite DLM 6" Dome Port with Zoom Control for Wide-Angle Mirrorless Lenses, https://bhpho.to/3pkMD2B .

Q: 9. Hi all, I purchased this housing and tried it for scuba diving. Unfortunately, I could not get the mode dial to work in this housing. Anyone knows what the issue might be? I read the manual attentively and aligned the camera before closing the housing, but still didn't succeed. I will greatly appreciate your advice! Except for this issue, I really like this housing

A: Hi Marina, I send you e-mail privately Regards Ran Vered Fantasea Line info@fantasea.com

Q: 10. Are UHS-II SDXC Memory Cards compatible with this camera?

A: SD/SDHC/SDXC (UHS-I compatible)

[2.9 lb / 1.3 kg] Just returned from a dive trip to Cozumel and used new Fantasea housing for the first time. Everything seemed fine and no leaks. I did dive once with the housing without the camera as directed, The housing seems more sturdy than my previous Canon for a different camera which flooded. The directions instruct you not to close the housing when flying due to the cabin pressure. I left the back ajar and the back did seal during the flight and was VERY difficult to open to insert the camera to get ready to dive. Otherwise so far so good- used it for 10 dives to date.

[2.9 lb / 1.3 kg] I accidentally purchased the Fantasea, but returned it in exchange for the Ikelite due to limitations of the camera zoom function. The tray for camera mounting and full range for the camera zoom on the Ikelite make for a good underwater housing. Adding a grip give more to hold onto in the water.

[3.11 lb] I did not experience any issues with this housing fitment with my camera. At nearly half the price of the other two manufacturer's models, I'm happy with my decision. As well, the customer service and technical support at Ikelite is very responsive. Simply being able call to speak with a knowledgable person is almost unheard of in this day and age. I need to give a shout out to B&H, their fulfillment/shipping was stellar. I received my product next day.
