The Tilta 15mm LWS Baseplate for RED DSMC2 Camerasis a slim and lightweight baseplate for RED's DSMC2 line of cameras. With the camera secured to the baseplate via the included 3/8"-16 screws, the front rod clamp will accept 15mm rods and conform to the 15mm LWS standard. Using a lever, the plate can be quickly secured to a Tilta dovetail plate for studio setups.

A: We are not aware of this unit being able to be used in the opposite direction. You will need to attach it to the camera as shown.

A: Yes, the Tilta Tiltaing 15mm LWS Baseplate Type V (Black) has 1/4 20, and 3/8 connections on the bottom of the plate, that would allow you to attach standard tripod plates like the Manfrotto 501PL plate.
