The STRATUS Complete Cage Sony a6500is a form-fitted cage that can fully surround a Sony a6500, a6400, a6300, or a6000 mirrorless camera. The cage section of the STRATUS is based on an Arca-Swiss plate, allowing the cage to be secured to any Arca-Swiss compatible tripod. Surrounding the cage are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, as well as a shoe mount and an ARRI rosette for securing articulating arms, handles, or other essential accessories.

At the top of the cage is a NATO rail for clamping the top handle. The top handle has a shoe mount and, for improved grip, can accept a bicycle handle grip. Below the cage the included rod clamp holds the included 7.9" 15mm rods at the correct distance from the lens, conforming to the 15mm LWS standard.

A: Yes, the SmallRig Camera Cage for Sony a6500/a6400/a6300/a6100 is compatible with the Sony a6000.

Q: 6. Will the camera fit with a metabones speedbooster on it?

A: Hello,At present, this cage is not compatible with a Speed Booster. However, Tilta is working on adapting cages for these adapters. The first batch will be the ES-T37 cages for the GH5, and we hope to see the ES-T27 and ES-T37 in the future, though that process is entirely up to Tilta, including the order of products they adapt. We will continue passing on this information on our customers' behalf.

A: There is a threaded mount at the bottom of the cage and also the base plate. For steadicam mounting, we recommend using the Tilta TT-C16 plate. Q: 8. How do I attach it to my tripod?

A: Hello,There are three 1/4-20 mounting holes in the bottom of the base that can be used for mounting to a tripod. Alternately, you could mount a 15mm dovetail plate to your tripod, and slide the cage onto that. I recommend the TT-C16 or TT-C16-A7 for the dovetail plate, as this cage requires that the plate have raised edges to accommodate the tripod-mounting section of the base.

Q: 9. Can this fit A6600? Thanks.

A: The size of the a6600 and the a6500 are very similar. The only big size difference is the handgrip. The handgrip on the a6600 is larger. I can see the top of the cage can get in the way of the buttons on the top of the handgrip. Other than that it believe it should fit, however, I can not guarantee that it will.

Q: 10. ohw i can turn on the cooling fan ? what source power i can use ? which battery ?

A: The fan requires a 12V power and the best way to get it is from a pro-battery distro plate like the BT-003-A. That plate comes with a 12V cable to go from the plate to the cage, as well as an assortment of other cables for powering a wide array of accessories, and mounts to the 15mm rods of the cage.

[2.575 lb] The best insurance for your camera against the school of hard knocks is a camera cage, and Small Rig makes some of the best. I actually use the cage, not only as the base rig for my video buildout, but by itself -- handheld -- for photography when hiking in the great outdoors, as the cage helps to provide protection to the camera when I'm climbing to reach an odd location and the camera is swinging by my side on its sling. The cage does not interfere with any functionality, not even with the camera strap. 5

[Sony a6500] Since the rear screen on my Sony A6500 is always exposed to the outside world, I see the extra protection afforded by a transparent screen protector as required. This screen does just that. In general, I'm pleased with this screen. I used one on a Sony A7R II and was satisfied with the result. I do recommend that you make a few practice fittings with the screen before removing the film from the adhesive side, just so you'll have some idea what to expect with you adhere the cover. I have used these screens on three different cameras. On the other two, the screen disappears onto the display so that, if you're not looking for it, you won't know it's there even when the screen is turned off and black. Not so the A6500. When the display is off, the shape of the Sony display is such that the screen has a visible border that looks like the screen has not adhered to part of the display. This visual effect disappears when you turn the camera on and an image appears on the screen, but it was an unexpected effect. In general, I'm glad I have the screen on my display. It's effective and in no way interferes with my ability to use my camera. It performs in a way that meets all my expectations. 5
