Enjoy stereo sound outdoors with your amplifier and the black Yamaha NS-AW350 All-Weather Indoor/Outdoor Speakers. Each speaker in this pair has a 6.5" mica-filled polypropylene woofer and a 1" polyetherimide dome tweeter to provide full-range audio. They can be mounted to a ceiling or wall with the included hardware, or placed on a tabletop or bookshelf either indoors or outdoors. The speakers can be positioned either vertically or horizontally to meet your installation needs.

Q: 1. What is the depth of the speaker including the mounting bracket? From the front grille to the wall? Is that the 5.5" listed or is it more?

A: Accurate as listed: depth from grille to back of speaker. Dimensions 5.9 x 8.5 x 5.5" / 14.9 x 21.6 x 14 cm

Q: 2. Can these be mounted horizontally?

A: Yes the brackets can be mounted either way. I found drilling an additional hole in the bracket was helpful for support. And easy.

A: These are passive speakers.

Q: 4. Can i use karaoko

A: These are not PA speakers and so they are not designed for karaoke use.

The brackets hide nicely within the cut outs of the speakers and the thumb knobs screw flush to the outer cabinet housing. Connections in the back are tension push open pinch close, (standard on most outdoor speakers) Audio/Music is clean/clear.

Q: 6. How can I mount them

A: They come with a tilting bracket. Can mount to wall w/ standard zinc screw-in drywall anchors. I hung 11 of them in a food court at LAX Airport.

Q: 7. Are these speakers real waterproof? Can they be mounted without any awning or shade?

A: Yes the Yamaha NS-AW592 is waterproof.

Q: 8. Are these speakers suitable for outdoor use in a covered patio?

A: I have them indoors they work fineI have seen them at hair salons tooI'm sure it will be fine as long as water doesn't hit it.

Q: 9. When mounted horizontally, can you tilt them downward? Looks like mounted vertically they do allow tilting downward. Thanks!

A: No. They will not tilt when mounted in the horizontal orientation. They would swivel laterally.

Q: 10. Can you buy housings for these speakers to use in an open joist with no ceiling?

A: Not sure, we installed them in a drop ceiling, the sound is perfect for our application.

[2-Way] I replaced a pair of Nuvo outdoor speakers with these. They sound pretty good and I would definitely recommend them. They are great for a little louder than background music..... 5

[40 to 130 W ] I used these for an install in a friend's bar and they have performed exactly as I had hoped. Crisp highs and tight lows make for great reproduction of any type of music. The price is right as well. I have no suggestions for improvements. 5

[2-Way] I bought these for my new home. I had the smaller 5" at my old home for 6 or 7 years . The price was $ 50 less the the Big Box ectronic� store. These are indoor for now and sound very nice. They withstood the Michigan winters with out issue. 5

[6 Ohms] Although marketed as an outdoor speaker, I installed them in a large master bathroom. Fantastic sound when added to my Sonos system. I love them. 5

[87 dB] These speakers sound great! I used (4) of these speakers with the Yamaha EMX-212S powered mixer. There was plenty of power and great sound coming out of these, considering the price. Also, these speakers are rated at 6 ohms and the mixer was rated at 4 ohms. However, there were no issues hooking up and using 4 speakers at once. You do have to get 2 phone jack connectors and 2 Speakon connectors to hook up all 4 speakers to the Yamaha EMX-212S. 5

[2-Way] I have the smaller set of these which are nice. I bought this pair for the fuller sound and I’m probably gonna use the smaller set as surround rears inside. I have them all connected to a Yamaha aventage receiver. 5

[Sealed] I have installed these in a few bar/outdoor style venues and typically place them 12 ft up in the air. They hang on well, perform through the elements, and transmit clear audio across the spectrum. Only complaint is that the terminals are exposed (this could be fixed with a single-screw cover) but that does not affect performance- even in Kentucky winters along the River. 5
