Presented in a red body with a gold grille, the Telefunken M81 Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone Red Golddelivers the sonic essence of a condenser in a rugged dynamic design. It features a wide 50 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response and high maximum SPL of 135 dB, making it equally suitable for voice, instruments, or drums onstage and in the studio. Its tonal character is tuned to soften bright or thin sources and yield a stronger emphasis on midrange clarity.

The M81's head and capsule assembly is designed to reduce proximity effect while still providing present bass. Its supercardioid polar pattern provides enhanced off-axis rejection and high immunity to feedback. The M81 also features a custom-wound Telefunken T80 transformer. It ships with a mic clip and leather storage bag.

Q: 6. Looking to store an mkh8050 and 2x mkh50s in a run bag (using this one: BH #POCSDV4U ). I leave the Rycote INV mk3 shockmounts on the mics for convenience, as well as the foam windscreens (bubblebee spacer BH #BUBBISBXS & rycote super softie BH #RYWSQAT) for additional protection. am currently putting the mics in these porta brace zipper bags (BH #POCSB93 ) to separate them within the run bag, but wanted to see if there's anything slightly larger (to fit w/ the foam windscreens, not just the rycote shockmounts) & slightly more robust in terms of protection?

A: Perhaps you can use something like the OP/TECH USA Lens/Filter Pouch, Large (B&H # OPPLFL) which is 9" high and has a 4.5" diameter, or the Ruggard Fold-Over Neoprene Lens Pouch - 3.5 x 6", Black (B&H # RULPNF35X60) or the Tenba Soft Neoprene Lens Pouch - Black, 9 x 4.8" (B&H # TETSLP948B). The Tenba Soft Molded EVA Lens Capsule with Extra Padding - Black, 9 x 4.8" (B&H # TE636359) has a more structured design for added protection. Even though these items are intended for use with camera lenses, they certainly can be used to protect the Sennheiser MKH 8050 Compact Supercardioid Condenser Microphone together with the windscreens and perhaps with the shockmount too.

Q: 7. Will this work well with the Sony UTX-P40 XLR +48v Transmitter?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MD 46 Dynamic ENG Microphone can be used with the Sony UTX-P40 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter. Since the MD 46 is a dynamic microphone, it does not require any voltage to function, so you will not need to use the transmitter's 48V phantom power setting.

Q: 8. Which shockmount would be perfect for It?

A: Here's a quality Rycote shock mount suggestion for the MKH8050 BH #RYINVHGMKIII.

Q: 9. what cable goes with this?

A: The Shure SM63LB features a male XLR connector. AN XLR mic cable would be used to connect to most devices Such as the Kopul 3000 series cables. Many customers also use these mics with devices such as portable audio recorders and even cameras/camcorders. in this case you would require an adapter as well. The Kopul LMT100 is a popular choice.

Q: 10. Do I need to buy accessories to connect it to my computer?

A: Yes. There are two ways to connect to your computer; a cable/adaptor, which will allow connection to the 3.5mm (TRRS) mic into computer or, better, connect to an audio interface, which provides higher quality audio. B&H Product #'s: MOTCB2 RORCC10USXF

[1.425 lb] Very clear sounding Mic! It was so clear that we were able to fine tune the live vocal reverb at band practice. It also has a nice design and a good weight to it. It feels great in the hand. It has a wide spectrum so you do not necessarily have to position it right in front of your mouth for good results. Overall I am very impressed. If you are looking for a live vocal mic upgrade look no further.
