Q: 1. Has anyone used this with third party batteries?

A: I have the two Sony batteries that come with the A7R II and 6 third party batteries. Haven't noticed any difference using Sony or third party batteries with or without the battery grip! One of the features I like with the battery grip is it tells you which battery is being used and remaining power left on each battery.

A: No bugs with my A7sII so far. Much better quality than Neewer as well. Get it!

Q: 4. Can you not charge the batteries while they're in the grip and connected to an outlet/battery pack?

A: The batteries do not seem to charge while the grip is installed and the camera is connected to the USB charger.

A: The receiver attaches to the flash shoe mount and the remote is wireless. It works very well eliminating camera shake.

A: I have not used this grip for video, but for stills shooting--yes, the second battery takes over when the first battery is exhausted.

A: Cameras like the A6300 do use NP-FW50 batteries, however they have a different design on the bottom than the A7 series of cameras. This battery grip is not recommended with an A6300. Instead we offer B&H #VEBGS4, which is a Vello Battery Grip designed specifically for Sony Alpha a6300.

Q: 9. does this fit on an A6000 as well?

A: While the battery, cap keeper, screen protector and remote in this kit can work with the A6000, the battery grip is limited for use with the A6300 only.

Q: 10. Does the grip interfere with the use of the le-a4 adapter?

A: I have the le-a3 adapter and there is no interference from the hand grip.
