Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work with the Meade ETX80 Observer 80mm f/5 Achromat Refractor?

A: Unfortunately no but you can adapt your Nikon using these 2 items instead: https://bhpho.to/2Zx2WHN Plus: https://bhpho.to/2tyAyd9

Q: 2. Can this be used with Monarch Nikon Monarch Spotting Scope MFR #16101 and Nikon FTZ mount adapter to use Nikon Z50 back?

A: The Novagrade Digiscoping Adapter for Nikon DSLR Cameras BH #NOUA00NI01 • MFR #UA-00NI-01 can be used on the Nikon Monarch spotting scope and the FTZ adapter

Q: 3. This adapter is listed as a recommended accessory for "Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing)". Just curious if it actually works or not?

A: Yes, its wide enough to cover the Vixen eyepiece.

Q: 4. Will this work with a Nikon Z 6II?

A: Unfortunately no. The Novagrade Digiscoping Adapter for Nikon DSLR Cameras is for Nikon "F" mount cameras and will not fit the Z mount cameras. It is possible it would fit with the Nikon FTZ2 adapter but that has not been tested.

Q: 5. Hi, is this compatible with the Oberwerk 25x100 IF Deluxe binocular?

A: Unfortunately we do not sell this Brand. I would recommend measuring the Eyepieces of your Binoculars to make sure. The Model works with Eyepieces from 39 to 60.75 mm.

Q: 6. I am looking to use a celetron ultima 80 with my nikon D3300. Will this connect them or do I need anything else?

A: You will only need the Novagrade Digiscoping Adapter for Nikon DSLR Cameras BH #NOUA00NI01 • MFR #UA-00NI-01 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1007579-REG/novagrade_ua_00ni_01_nikon_camera_universal_adapter.html

Q: 7. How loud is the shutter compared to the 800 and 810? I do a lot of stage photography, and the much quieter 810 is an enormous improvement over the 800. Hope the 850 is at least as quiet. Just for clarity, this is NOT in Quiet mode...

A: Nikon has introduced a new silent shutter mode, which takes advantage of the electronic front curtain shutter (EFCS) when using the camera in live mode. Supposed to completely eliminate any kind of shutter, allowing the photographer to be discreet.

Q: 8. With D810 does the image cover the FF sensor or does it cause dark corners (vignetting)? If there is vignetting with D810, is D7200 a better camera? Thanks

A: It depends what you are mounting it on.. As a general rule a crop sensor camera will gine you full coverage over the full frame sensor camera.

Q: 9. Do dx lenses work on d850

A: Yes, any Dx lens intended for F mount will work and you have the choice of using a Dx sized image circle or FX image circle. Some Dx lenses, when stopped down, fill a FX image circle. In Dx mode the viewfinder greys out the portion of frame which will be captured. This a a great addition since you can still what falls outside the Dc frame, so useful in action, sports and wildlife shots.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with the Nikon D7500 and Swarovski spotting scopes?

A: Yes this Adapter will be compatible with your Nikon D7500. I would recommend measuring your Eyepiece of your Swarovski Scope. Included with the adapter are 6 compression rings. This allows for compatibility with optics featuring eyepieces with diameters of 39 to 60.75mm.

[Black / Yellow] I’ve been a Nikon shooter since 2004 and I’ve worked in the photography industry since 04’ when I switched to Nikon. I love the D850 I’ve never owned a camera that I could say that about. It’s robust, easy to manipulate controls on the fly and produces beautiful crisp photos. I am able to capture images out the gate that require minimal if not zero post corrections. If you are on the fence about this camera and are considering going mirrorless but have an ecosystem of lenses for DSLR go with this camera! The technology has been tested and built upon 20 years of improvements, there is a larger selection of glass and accessories. Let this be your last DSLR and in a couple of years as mirrorless improve and larger lens/accessories options become available you’ll be set to make the transition.

[0.15 lb] I bought this adapter for use on my Nikon Prostaff 5 spotting scope and my Nikon 1 with FT adapter. I use the next to the largest bushing provide for my eye piece. It is extremely easy to use, mounting on the eyepiece of the scope, then mount the Nikon camera on the F mount end. That is it! use the Liview and the focus control of the scope to focus. I put my camera on Aperture mode, focusing using the scope focus, and shoot. The adapter sits by tight on the scope as I was using the Nikon 1 camera body instead of the normal Nikon DSLR. You must have a very solid and rigid tripod in order to eliminate vibration. I use time delay for,the shot. The picture is quite decent, not the best like a direct 600mm lens, but this combination I got is ove 2000mm by my estimate, like shooting a mountain goat about 2 miles away. Novagrade is in Portalnd, Oregon and they do offer adapter for Canon and other camera manufacturer too. The unit has both end caps and is in metal, magnesium alloy, solid and lightweight. Mine is balance on a straight view scope. It will balance much better on an angled view scope due to gravity. It is a bit pricey in my opinion, but very small to carry and very useful.
