Q: 1. Can I use the tiffin variable filter with this Matte box either on the lens or integrated into the 4x4 with adaptor?

A: That will not be possible. Variable ND Filters are only available to screwing on to a lens, it will not work in the 4x4 filter holder. Also Variable ND Filters tend to be thick and would make it difficult or even not possible to attach this matte box to the lens.

Q: 2. For what lens diameter is this?

A: The back aperture diameters of the Matte Box Lite, Genus Wide & Compact PV are all 95mm and will accept lenses upto 86mm in diameter, in clip on mode.

Q: 3. Is this Matte Box light enough for a Gimbal?

A: Joe, the answer will really depend on the weight loading capacity on the Gimbal you are thinking of. The Gimbal manufacturer would have those details and then you can calculate the loading capacity of the rig that you want to place on that. You can budget for 350grams of weight for the matte box on the front of your lens.

Q: 4. Encajar este matte Box en la lente samyang de 35mm T1.5?

A: If you are using B&H # SA35T15C, which has a 77mm filter thread, yes it will work. This Matte Box comes with a set of six different 82mm step up rings, including a 77mm adapter.

Q: 5. Can this matte box take side flags?

A: The GML Matte Box Lite can take the side flags, as you can easiily drill/punch a hole through the Rayshade sides to fix the spindles onto the side. However, it will make the matte box front heavy, and if you're looking for a lightweight clip-on solution, then the side flags are going to add more weight to your camera front end. If you're looking to mount the matte box on a heavier camcorder and lens, then it shouldn't be an issue, but if it's a Sony A7S type camera, then it may be better to go with a GWMC matte box solution, and use adaptor bar rods underneath to help support the matte box (and side flags).

Q: 6. Would this work with an imac pro ? Looking for a way to leverage the installed VESA mount without having to remove the screws…

A: The ALOGIC Clarity Fold Stand (B&H # ALACFS) will mount a display with a 100 x 100mm VESA mounting pattern. Depending on the model of iMac that you have, you may need to use a VESA adapter such as the Tether Tools Rock Solid VESA Direct Adapter for iMac Computer (B&H # TEVADPT04).

Q: 7. Will this matte box work with the Rokinon DS Cine lenses?

A: This matte box will work with all lenses with the following caveats: 1. It will probably not work (meaning vignetting) with APS-C sensor cameras and lenses wider than 18mm or with Full Frame cameras and lenses wider than 24mm. If you need to go with wider lenses, you will need a 4 x 5.6 matte box and corresponding filters.

Q: 8. Will this fit the Sony MDR-7509HD headphones?

A: I looked at the enlarged photo on B&H website. I believe they are either the cans I have or ones just like them. I found a blog that said they are a bit tough to get on and take a bit of patience. When i put mine on I found that to be true, but they are a factory type fit and feel awesome. Very comfortable. Best of luck!!!

A: The Sigma 10-20mm, B&H # SI102035C, has an 82mm filter thread and this kit comes with an 82mm filter adapter. You will be able to connect this matte box to that lens!

[56 lb] There was some concern that the screen would not get here in time for an event. After contacting the customer service they assisted in getting a tracking confirmation. It arrived in the nick of time. I was surprised that the model had some features to the leg structure that we were not expecting. It made it very stable and user friendly. 5

[56 lb] We use the product for our once a year users conference and several smaller meetings through out the year. It is a robust construction and easy to put up. It produces a great rear or front projection image and looks impressive set up. The screen really sets the room up for the look of an important and high tech meeting. Since it is stored between uses, we put muslin between the folds of the screen to prevent screen damage. Because the product is larger and has more bracing than our old 9X12 fast fold screens we used to have. It comes in two boxes. It takes up more storage, which is expected with a bigger screen. B&H photo has been a good vendor providing timely shipping and good delivery updates. I will use them for future purchases. They have competitive pricing. 5
