A: Unfortunately, no, it is not. The Impact Impact Soft n' Natural Kit #4 only comes with the twelve (12)x Eiko - SP27/50K Spiral Fluorescent Lamps (26W/120V). We do not have a kit that includes 240V bulbs. You may purchase the Lowel 25 Watt Ego Fluorescent Bulb (220-240V AC), B&H # LOLE127E, but we do not have a kit that would include the bulbs.

The only softboxes compatible with the Impact 4 Socket Fluorescent Fixture included with the kit would be either the Impact 50 x 70 cm Softbox for Fluorescent Fixtures, B&H # IMFFSB70, or the smaller Impact 50 x 50 cm Softbox for Fluorescent Fixtures, B&H # IMFFSB50, while the only option compatible for use with the Impact FF-OF4 Octa 4-Socket Fluorescent Fixture is the included Impact FF-OSB60 Octa Softbox (24 ), B&H # IMFFOSB60. Due to the design, it is not compatible for use with standard universal softboxes. The built-in speedring only allows use with the softboxes designed specifically for these fluorescent units.

Q: 6. I have a DSLR camera. What other accessories would I need to buy to connect the lights in a studio lighting kit to my camera (to bridge the gap between camera and lighting equipment)?

A: Being that these are continuous lights (as opposed to a strobe/flash) there is no direct connection or cables needed to connect them to the camera. It would be the same concept as shooting indoors under whatever available lights you have or outdoors under the sun.

Q: 8. The tripod has 2 different size HEX head screws, yet you are only supplied with one Allen wrench. Why?

A: The included Hex / Allen wrench is to be used to remove leg segments and adjust rigidity of the tripod. This is for the screw that is under the rubber ring on the leg segments.

Q: 9. Are these dimmable lights?

A: Sort of 2 switches on the head allow you to have 2 or 4 bulbs on at a time. Other than that, you can just control the light by placement or different modifiers.

Q: 10. Do the fluorescent bulbs that come with this set have a color cast?

A: They give off a color temp of about 5000k. It looks pretty natural on camera. Personally in post I may warm up skin tones a touch if its my only source of light, otherwise I do not worry about it in video too much.
