Q: 1. Since this is the Hanging version is it still possible to use on stands if need be?

A: It is possible to use this version on a light stand, however this version comes with bare ends - meaning there is no power connector on the end of the power cord. You would have to install one yourself. In addition the power cord is shorter than the stand mount version.

A: This is the Photometrics form Arri on the the ARRI L7-C LE2 LED Fresnel. At 3m 15 degrees the light is 6689 lux at 3200k and at 5600k it is 7511 lux. The link for that information is, https://bhpho.to/3QdxrzK And Arri does not list the Lumens on the light only lux.

Q: 3. This item include barndoors?

A: No, we had to order a separate barndoor that was about $120 or so from memory, the item was 4 Leaf Barndoor Set for Arri T1 Fresnel item number ARBD4T1

A: Using the Avenger A2009 Turtle Base for C-Stand (Chrome-plated) B&H # AVA2009 would be the easiest way to get an Arri L7-C LE2 LED Fresnel closer to the floor.

A: Apparently it's a closely guarded secret. Arri does NOT publish any information regarding comparisons of their Full Color L7-C -vs- their L7 (Daylight or Tungston versions) Not sure why we are not getting exact lumens figures for many of these new Led luminaires. It is one of MOST annoying aspects of this move to teh new technologies that the manufacturers are simply refusing to give out any information other that (oh it's roughly like4 a 1K or a 650 Fresnel) Not very scientific ARRI. Please get on the ball Arri and publish precise metrics on these lights. If they are going to ask $3000 for an Led fixture, they at least can produce some detailed information about these lights. It's been a frustrating process getting a straight answer from anyone regarding these lights.

Q: 7. What is equivalent of brightness of this Lighting of daylight HMI and tungsten lighting?

A: They say it's equivalent as a 1.5k. I would say that in my experience it seems similar to a 1k tugnten fresnel and falls somewhere btw a 575 and 1200w hmi daylight (par lenses). It's pretty tough - the weak point is that the focusing barrel is made of plastic and can break if dropped or not protected. The best part about this light is that it can do any color. I'd purchase again.

A: This is the LE2 version, which is 25% brighter than the original Arri L7C.

WE are going to replace all 14 Fresnels in the studio with the LED lights, these are fantastic, they are not HOT and the subjects like this, they draw little power and I like that. Best technology in a long time, Thanks ARRI. 5

I've been dreaming of this light since it came out. It works as advertised and changing the color balance is so easy. I use it mostly to wash a background in various bright colors but I also use the directional nature of the light for certain situations. I don't work in Hollywood or on a big production so I had to learn a few things the hard way. 1st the light comes with a gigantic metal post that will not mesh up with regular light stands. You have to buy a stand with a female receiver in the 1 1/8 size. All of my other lights have the female part on the light and the male part on the stand. So after buying a proper stand for this light, the light and stand weigh a ton. I'm guessing 70-90 pounds. Another shock for me is how directional the light is. I've been shooting up to this point with fluorescent lights that are mounted in a beauty type dish. They create a very soft flattering light on people. This light is harsher with sharp shadows even when it's at it's widest beam angle. When used with fill lights it all looks great but I rarely use this as the main light. It's always shining color on something or providing a focused light where I need it. This light has the heat sink fins but there is also a fan that I can hear kick on when the light is turned up over about 80%. I only hear it if I'm right next to the light with my head 1-2 foot away and I never pick it up in audio. I expect this light will last me a lifetime. 5

We use these lights on location for everything from interviews to commercial work. Very versitile light with decent power (feels close to a 400 HMI). Very little heat and flicker free. The only downside, they are quite heavy but worth it for what they do. 5

Fantastic lights and act very similar to their fresnel counterparts. Output is around that of a 700 watt fresnel. Haven't had it long enough to see how durable they are but they look like they can take a beating. Being able to dim and adjust color temp is such a nice luxury to have. I would love for them to get the weight down or release the active cooling units. Has anyone found a good travel case for them to fit in? 5
