Two aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements are featured in the optical design, and help to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy. Both a Nano-GI coating and HT-EBC coating are also used to control ghosting and flare for enhanced contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions. Complementing the optics is a floating focus system that benefits autofocus speed and also maintains consistent performance throughout the focusing range. Wide-angle prime lens is designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 24mm equivalent focal length.

Notably fast f/1.4 maximum aperture affords increased control over depth of field and greatly benefits working in low-light conditions.

Two extra-low dispersion elements are used to greatly reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to produce high clarity and color fidelity.

Two aspherical elements control distortion, curvature of field, and spherical aberrations, which helps to improve sharpness and realize more accurate rendering.

Nano-GI (Gradient Index) coating has been applied to lens elements and alters the refractive index between the glass and air in order to better suppress lens flare and ghosting for diagonal incident light.

HT-EBC coating has also been applied the entire surface of each element to reduce lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.

A quick and quiet autofocus motor pairs with a two-group floating focus system to achieve precise focus and consistent image quality throughout the focusing range, from the 5.9" minimum focusing distance to infinity.

Integrated depth of field scale benefits working with zone focusing and pre-focusing techniques.

Weather-resistant design includes nine different seals in eight areas to prevent dust and moisture from entering the lens and to enable worry-free use in inclement conditions and freezing temperatures as low as 14°F.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the LCD screen viewable in sunlight?

A: Yes, but an lcd hood shade will benefit you greatly in sunlight.

Q: 2. Some reviews state this camera can handle sports photography quite well. Does it truly compare to the likes of Nikon D500 and similar DSLR offerings now?

A: Yes. I have both cameras. I feel that the focusing of the X-T3 is faster than the D500.

Q: 3. Can the camera shoot photos in panorama?

A: there is a panorama function, but I've always used editing programs to put raw files together and make a big panorama.

Q: 4. Can we record VIDEO (not photos) to both SD Cars simultaneously at the same time? Again I repeat I am not asking about photography, but for V-I-D-E-O.

A: We do not believe that is possible. The manual for this camera only indicates Back-Up mode is available for Still Images only. Movies can only be recorded to one SDXC Card at time.

Q: 5. How do we tell if the XT3 is eligible for rewards?

A: Rewards are listed on our website appearing next to the item price. Currently there are no rewards available for the XT3.

Q: 6. what is the best budget friendly cards for 4k recording?

A: 4K and budget are diametrically opposed. You need card that can sustain a high bit rate to record the highest quality of this camera. In this case the FujiFilm X-t3's 400Mbps created by 4K at 60FPS needs a V60 rated card. Here are the budget friendliest V60 cards we have. https://bhpho.to/2JmTymO

Q: 7. Is there an instruction manual in the box with the camera?

A: Yes.

Q: 8. When shooting video, and a battery is depleted, does the camera continue to record when switching to the next battery (without stopping and having to press record again)?

A: A battery grip like this allows 2 batteries to act as one for double the power. One battery will not run out and the other take over, at least not from an operation standpoint. When the battery grip runs out of power, you will need to charge both batteries.

Q: 9. How long does the X-T3's bundled battery last in video mode?

A: Found this on Fuji's site: Actual battery life of movie capture:*Face detection is set to OFF4K approx. 40min. (29.97p)Full HD approx. 45min. (59.94p)Continuance battery life of movie capture:*Face detection is set to OFF4K approx. 55min. (29.97p) Full HD approx. 75min. (59.94p)

Q: 10. Can the batteries for my X-T2 be used on the X-T3?

A: Yes

[0.21x] I just couldn't warm up to my x100v, ergonomically just not for me, but i loved my xt-20. However, it wasn't weather sealed and still a bit small for me. I traded both for the xt-3 and it is perfect. The buttons are more usable for me, the auto focus is better than the x100v. I didn't think the double card slots mattered, but now that i have them its nice. I love the ISO on a dial. It is a great camera.

[FUJIFILM X] My X-T2 was the one that got away. I was still enamored with it when the T3 was announced, so I waited on upgrading. When the T4 was announced I pre-ordered it the same day. That was a mistake. The T4 is a great camera, no doubt, but the IBIS bloated it in ways that made it a chore to use. It was stockier than the T2 and the 20% increase in weight reminded me of my DSLR days. It was a technical marvel, but I didn't enjoy working with it.

So I sold the T4 and bought an X-E4. THIS was why I went mirrorless. Light. Nimble. Easy to slip in and out of a bag. Just a joy to work with. It was like meeting an old friend and it made me realize how much I missed my T2. Just when I was about to buy a used T2, Fuji knocked $400 off the T3. Now I have the best of all worlds: the svelte size/weight of the T2 with the guts of the E4, plus weather sealing, duel card slots, and aaalll those controls. It'll be my new BFF for many years to come.

[f/16] I bought Fuji X-T3 a while ago and still it's running great. For stills honestly they are as good as my full frame cameras (some clients don't like that this camera is smaller.... You know how it is). I shoot architecture and spaces and this camera has all the resolutions I need.

For videos I use this camera too and is the video files great or what. Shoot with right settings and color grade with davinci resolve, the results are amazing. I love this camera. Part of me is tempted to upgrade to X-T4 or 5 but I just can't let it go even by the end of 2022.
