RAID 0: Also known as a "stripe" array. This mode delivers maximum performance and requires two to four M.2 SSDs.

RAID 1: This mode creates a hidden duplicate of the target M.2 SSD and requires two drives.

RAID 5: Utilizing striping with parity, this mode requires three or four M.2 SSDs. It delivers a boost in performance while also ensuring your data remains intact should an M.2 drive fail.

RAID 10: Mirrored stripe arrays. This mode requires four M.2 SSDs and mirrors the data of one stripe array to a second, hidden stripe array for security.

Each SSD6540M RAID Enclosure includes a simple, intuitive web-based management interface. A Quick Configuration menu allows new users to get everything up and running with a few simple clicks. Experienced Pros can fine-tune configurations for specific applications using the Advanced Options menu.

TRIM streamlines performance and expands the lifespan of NVMe storage by enabling each SSD to handle garbage collection more efficiently, which helps eliminate write speed degradation. S.M.A.R.T. monitoring allows you to check the temperature, voltage, and total bytes written (TBW) of each NVMe SSD.

[4x 2.5" ] Moving from my on board RAID controller to a dedicated card was a game changer.

Using my motherboard in RAID 0 had no problem with Sequential reads/writes, but the random reads were painfully slow.

I moved to a PCI riser card (Gigabytes Aorus) so I could have more drives and a possible bonus of the bifurcated PCI lanes would be a bit quicker. Same performance.

I finally bit the bullet and picked up this card. It has been FLAWLESS.

The random read performance is within spitting distance of a single drive. Absolutely thrilled with this setup.

[4x 2.5" ] SSD7101A-1 is a great card. I installed 4x Samsung 970 EVO+ to be used for rendering and I get 13,000 MB/s.

A motherboard with 16x lanes is best for performance. It does come with a RAID software.

[Desktop] This is my 3rd RAID Tower from Highpoint. I started with a thunderbolt, upgraded to the thunderbolt 2 and now this one. Snappy response and pretty easy to setup, take your time and it’s start forward. B&H was great, I ordered and it was here in two days, safely packed!!! Thanks B&H!

[Desktop] I use it in my 2019 Mac Pro with 4x2TB m.2 SSDs from Samsung. The passive cooling works great, I see consistent write/read speed rates in continuous heavy use and the drive is silent.

[4x 2.5" ] It arrived a lot faster, initially it was going to take 4-6 weeks. The product is very well built, materials are very good quality. Adding drives was extremely easy. Connection to Mac Pro tower through SAS controller was easy. Everything about the product was absolutely fantastic. I will be filling it with 12tb drives, should make for a very nice storage array. Speeds are very nice as well.
