A: The GML Matte Box Lite can take the side flags, as you can easiily drill/punch a hole through the Rayshade sides to fix the spindles onto the side. However, it will make the matte box front heavy, and if you're looking for a lightweight clip-on solution, then the side flags are going to add more weight to your camera front end. If you're looking to mount the matte box on a heavier camcorder and lens, then it shouldn't be an issue, but if it's a Sony A7S type camera, then it may be better to go with a GWMC matte box solution, and use adaptor bar rods underneath to help support the matte box (and side flags).
