A: JPEG images should open easily on your current Macbook, but as far as RAW files go, that is more software oriented.

Q: 9. What is the Protective Cover that comes with the camera? The manual says there are two in the box and I don't see anything that matches this description.

A: The manual is referring to the two (synthetic) leather pieces that protect the sides of the camera from getting scratched by the triangular "rings" that attach to the eyelets on the sides of the camera.
