This K&F Nano-X HD Green Polarizer Filter 40.5mmfrom K&F Nano-X HD Green Polarizer Filter 40.5mmis a 40.5mm multi-coated glass circular polarizing filter that helps reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a nonmetallic surface. The light from the sun becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges and filters directionally polarized light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from nonmetallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.

This filter is constructed from German Schott B270 optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity, and it features green multi-coating to prevent internal ghosting and reflections. In addition, each surface features resistance coating to prevent minor abrasions, repel water droplets, and resist smudging from grease and oil. It is made with an aluminum alloy filter ring that can be rotated to adjust the intensity of the polarization effect.

[Glass] This was purchased with the strict intention to optimize my Genustech Variable Netural Density filter.To isolate the rotating element, I used a spanning wrench ($10 on @) to line up the groves on the internal ring, and unscrewed the ring. After that, you can easily remove the polarizing glass!Now, you can attach a variable nutral density filter to the housing of this polarizing filter to spin your ND filter to preserve skin reflections and glare. Keep the polarizing glass and mark the outside of the housing to remember different polarizing strengths of the ND filter. You need to hold the polarizing glass infront of your ND filter, and rotate your new spinning element to observe the amout of polarizing you neutral density filter is doing, because after all neutral density filters are just two stacked circular polarizing filters. This is an excellent purchase if you shoot video, and are concerned about skin tones while using a variable neural density filter. 5

[Unthreaded] great filter for the price of it i stack it on a UV filter that i leave on my canon 70-200 with IS ii. I mainly use it for portrait and landscape photos just like the description says its a little over a 1 stop filter screw on nice and easy. Doesn't affect my auto focusing because its a circular polarizer. 5
