Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it necessary to buy this magnetic ring or can you just use a standard threaded step up ring and then thread a normal 82mm Kase magnetic ring to that?

A: It is recommended to use as few adapters as possible in order to keep the filter closer to the lens to avoid vignetting. While an aluminum step up ring and then an 82mm magnetic adapter will fit, it is not recommended.

Q: 2. Is there any way i can use these adapters to use my non magnetic 105mm filters

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (105 to 112mm) is only compatible with magnetic filters.

Q: 3. will this fit my 77mm lens and allow me to use an 82mm filter?

A: No, the Kase Magnetic Inlaid Step-Up Ring (72 to 77mm) will allow you to use a filter that is 77mm on a lens that has a 72mm filter thread. In order to put an 82mm filter on a lens with a 77mm filter thread you would need to purchase any step-up ring from 77mm to 82mm, such as: https://bhpho.to/42Wb5Hi

Q: 4. Will my Tamron 70-200 G2 lens hood still attach with this in place? Thanks!

A: Your lens hood would fit on the bayonet mount found on the end of the lens barrel, so you can still use this adapter ring.

Q: 5. Does this step-up ring work with the Kase Armour magnetic filter holder system?

A: No, the Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (62 to 82mm) is only for use with the Wolverine and Revolution system. You need to use a standard screwed Step-Up Ring (62-82mm) and attach it to the 82mm magnetic adapter that is in the kit.

Q: 6. Is this just the ring that screws on to the lens? Are there adapters for Tiffen Filters?

A: Yes, Freewell Empty Magnetic Base Ring (77mm) BH #FRFW77ER is base that screws on to the lens. Tiffin filters screw in directly on to most of the lens and there is no adapter to mount Tiffin filters on this base.

Q: 7. Are these compatible with the 82mm Manfrotto Xume filter adapters? The design is functionally the same.

A: The Sensei 82mm Magnetic Lens Adapter Ring is compatible with the 82mm Manfrotto Xume filter adapter so long as you have your measurements correct.

Q: 8. Does this work with older Wolverine (non-revolution) filters?

A: Yes, the Kase Wolverine Revolution Magnetic Step-Up Ring (82-95mm) is compatible with both Wolverine and Revolution line of filters.

Q: 9. Are the KW Revolution 112 mm filters in the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 Revolution Kit compatible with this 95 to 112 step up ring?

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (95 to 112mm) is compatible with the KW Revolution 112 mm filters.

Q: 10. Is this only a step up ring or one can use 95mm Kase ND filter and snap it in directly to this step up?

A: To use the Kase 95mm magnetic filters on a lens that uses 72mm filters, the only step up ring adapter is the Kase 72-95mm Magnetic Step-Up Adapter Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters BH #KAKWMSP7295 • MFR #KW-MSP-7295

[0.215 lb] This lens goes in front of my Nikon 70-300mm VR lens. I have no hesitation in recommending this Canon close-up lens for Nikon users. The +2 dioptre is more than enough if you want to fill the frame with a flower which is as small as one's thumb. Shooting toy cars (scale model cars) with this lens also gave some fantastic images which looked very realistic and appeared as the real car (again because you can fill the frame). I usually prefer the 70-300mm with my camera more than the 18-135mm or 50mm prime. So whenever I want to get close to a subject just put on this close-up lens and continue shooting. You need a step-up filter, bought the 67-72mm Step-up Ring by Tiffen from B&H. Don't expect this lens to help you capture the compound eye structure of the house-fly. Need to work with a good tripod and proper DOF to make full use of this lens.

[0.215 lb] Needed this so I'm able to use my more expensive filter that I already had and I'm glad there is this option to do just that. Solid construction and does what it's supposed to do.
