[Yes] The RRS base plate I purchased for my a7r4 fulfills my needs well. It offers protection to the body whenever I put my camera down on rocks and it supplies a stable platform to attach to my tripod. It provides extra grip surface area but that's something I really don't need as the a7r4 has adequate grip area. Price is right IMO.

[Aluminum] i have used several different Hoodman eyepieces before on different cameras . I am not an eyeglass wearer but like to keep the sun out of my eye when photographing outdoors. Usually I will take off the bigger eyepiece because it gets in the way when trying to view the screen for playback or other things. But this model is perfectly sized to stay put without getting in the way of your view of anything. It is just wide enough to keep out stray light and stay out of your way. Thanks Hoodman.

[Aluminum] I always purchase a Hoodman Eyecup each of my cameras. When I wore glasses, they were a must. Now that I wear contacts, I don't have to worry about knocking into the EVF, but the deep cup blocks out surrounding light...a real plus when photographing outdoor sports in bright sunshine.

[0.4 lb] Fits perfectly and tight. Saw a review where they said it fell off quickly and that makes no sense other than they didn't install correctly. This is not falling off and clicks into place very assuredly. Nice soft silicon rubber eyepiece that really helps to block the light in landscape or portrait mode. Also, this fit's the A7R V even though B&H does not note that under specs. It's noted at Hoodman's site so B&H should update so folks know and don't need to send questions about that. Highly recommended!
