Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this come with charger?

A: The Shure SB900B Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for Bodypack Transmitters/Receivers (BH #SHSB900B) is a single battery only. From the same product page, there is an option for "2-Pack with Dual Bay Charger" (BH #SHSB900BCK (B&H Kit)): https://bhpho.to/3KiD0Xq

Q: 2. Can I leave the bodypack in the docking station after they are fully charged or do I need to unplug the charger?

A: The Shure SB903 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for SLX-D Transmitters will automatically cease charging when fully charged.

Q: 3. Does this work with QLXD transmitters ?

A: Yes, the Shure SB900B is the compatible rechargeable battery pack for use with the QLXD series wireless transmitters.

Q: 4. What is the date of manufacture of the battery?

A: Unfortunately B&H does not have this information.

Q: 5. What is the best way to store these batteries when not in use for a day, month, or year?

A: Lithium ion batteries should be stored in a cool dry place and charged with approximately 30 to 50% power remaining (not fully drained). Make sure the battery contacts are protected so the battery will not short out if something were to touch the contact points. Many lithium ion batteries come with a cover that protects the contact points. Electrical tape can also be used for this purpose. Batteries can be left in the device when it is not used for a few days, but should be removed from the device if it will not be used for a week or longer. This will help to extend battery life and also prevent possible damage to your device.

A: No, the Shure SB900B Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for Bodypack Transmitters/Receivers is not compatible for use with the Shure SLX1 or SLX2 transmitters. There are currently no rechargeable Shure battery packs stated as compatible with the SLX1 or SLX2.

A: This case is designed to hold two receivers, such as the Sennheiser EM-100's, as well as two handheld transmitters and two body packs with mics.

Q: 9. CAN I USE THIS WITH THE OLDER MODEL GLXDR 2.4GHZ RECEIVERS SINCE IT'S BOTH 2.4 & 5.8 GHZ? or do i NEED the UA846Z2/LC?

A: The GLXD+FM frequency manager will work with the GLXD4R receivers on the 2.4 GHz frequencies only. The UA846Z2/LC GLX-D Frequency Manager is the usual model recommended for the GLXD4R.

Q: 10. I have an older eartec that uses NiMH Battery. Can I change them and use lithium batteries?

[Molded ABS] Eartec comm systems are one of the rare pieces of utilitarian kit that makes me smile every time we get to use them. They just work. Phenomenal range, and the HUB system is just awesome. When we first started using them, I was a bit worried about battery life and bought an extra battery for each headset (6, 12 batteries total). I was shocked when 1) these batteries last more than half a day each (4-6 hours) and 2) they seem to take less than 20-30 minutes to fully charge. I know they're small batteries, but charge time isn't something I have to worry about when we use our Eartec system. I was going to buy multiple chargers and 2-3 sets of spare batteries...but these are so good and charge so quick, my initial purchase was completely adequate for a 6-10 hour production day. Given the quick charge time, we can charge half overnight and the other half when we come in for the next production day and not have it impact production at all.

I'd recommend having one extra battery for each headset in your kit + 1-3 additional just in case. (We always power the HUB with mains power whenever possible, so that gave us 1 extra battery out of the gate.) I have no clue how long these will last, but they're so cheap it doesn't make sense to NOT have a few more on-hand than you need.
