The black anodized, CNC-machined aluminum ProMediaGear Universal L-Bracket for DSLR & Mirrorless Camerasfrom ProMediaGear Universal L-Bracket for DSLR & Mirrorless Camerashas a modular design that is composed of an Arca-type bottom and vertical plate. The bracket enables you to switch the camera quickly from a horizontal to a vertical stance without losing the center axis. The offset design of the bracket allows the L-component to slide away to gain access to the camera's ports; at the same time, you can slide the same vertical component forward to have room for the articulating LCD screen to swing out without obstructing the screen.

The included 5/32" Allen wrench, used to loosen or tighten the parts of the bracket, is stored magnetically inside the vertical arm of the plate. Safety stops are located on both the bottom and vertical plates to prevent the camera from sliding out if the clamp is accidentally opened. An integrated camera strap adapter port is also located on the bottom plate, allowing a quick release strap system to be attached. Multiple 1/4"-20 sockets are available on the bracket for accessories, along with a built-in cold shoe at the top of the bracket.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What are the benefits of putting your flash next to the lens like this?

A: It allows for a very compact camera setup. It also handles better as the weight and center of gravity is lower than when the flash is high up on the camera.

Q: 2. The listed weight is 1lb, but what is it for the Titanium version?

A: The BBX series of flash bracket: Weight: 15.2 oz - 432 grams (12.7 oz - 361 grams without Plate) The titanium is an anodized process, not actually a titanium arm (silver). The weight is the same on all colors.

Q: 3. I have a Canon 6d2 which means this is overkill, but I like the product. I have a matte box, can I get it without?

A: Yes, the matte box for the LanParte Universal Shoulder Rig with Carry Case for DSLR & Mirrorless Camera is available at this link here: https://bhpho.to/40DBTgF.

Q: 4. What hand do you hold the bracket with?

A: This bracket is made for use on the right side of the camera in front of the camera's grip where your right hand will go. It doesn't appear that you have to hold the bracket but you'd use your right hand to control the movements.

Q: 5. Does this work with Sony a6700

A: Yes, the JOBY Vert Vertical L-Bracket for DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras will work with the Sony a6700 camera. Note, it is not made for it. So, some ports on the camera will be covered.

Q: 6. How long is the camera base?

A: The ProMediaGear Paparazzi Bracket uses their PBX3 Universal Bracket Plate which is 3.0" / 7.6 cm long. The included bracket piece which can mount on either side would add a bit of length to that.

Q: 7. How is this different from version I that was discontinued?

A: The difference in design is the discontinued version only works with tall cameras like ones with a battery grip. The new version can work with a camera with or without a grip.

Q: 8. I use a Yongnuo Speedlite YN600EX-RT II with my Canon 5D Mark IV. What would people recommend for me to use to connect my flash to the camera using this bracket. I worry that something like the Vello TTL cable will raise up the flash too much and not fix the whole, "side shadow problem," which I assume this bracket is meant to solve to begin with. Thoughts? Thanks!

A: The TTL cable will not raise the flash that much. If you are worried about it being a little out of position because of the cable, or you want greater flexibility, The Yongnuo YN-E3-RT II Wireless Speedlite Transmitter for Canon linked here can be an option. https://bhpho.to/2QNUvJb. This will allow one to place the Flash in any position you want.

Q: 9. does it fit Sony A58?

A: Yes, the JOBY Vert Vertical L-Bracket for DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras will fit on the Sony A58 camera.

Q: 10. Will my speedlight attach directly to this bracket? Or do I need another item?

A: I use a Yongnuo Speedlite YN600EX-RT II with my Canon 5D Mark IV. What would people recommend I use for a connection between my camera and the flash, with this bracket. I worry that something like the Vello TTL Flash Cord would raise the flash up too much and not really solve the whole, "side shadow in portraits" problem, which I assume this bracket is supposed to solve. Thoughts anyone? Thanks.

[0.79 lb] I use this with my 1DX and a 70-200mm lens for combat photography. The SH1 belt holster is a tank! I highly recommend this for a pro or armature photographers. I use it in field environments like desert or jungle and it retains the camera exceptionally well. Even in a dead sprint or running a few miles with a full combat load the SH1 is solid. I have a peak design and the spider holster camera retention system they are both great systems but I tend to use my Pro meadia SH1 more. It is super easy to take off and put on. I do recommend using a riggers belt something thick the keeps its form. Other then that get rid of your neck strap and buy this system. I love it! Gunnery Sergeant Robert B. [Yes] I am more than pleased with the fit and quality of my ProMediaGear L-Bracket. I was concerned with how it would fit my camera with my battery grip since the Nikon D5600 is such a compact DSLR. It fits like it was crafted just for my camera! I am impressed with the build of this bracket. I can remove the battery tray from the grip while the bracket is attached. I also love that my screen can rotate completely! I am very happy I purchased this bracket!
