Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. With the receiver can I use a separate camera app to record sound? Such as black magic?

A: Correct, with the receiver you can use a different application, however you will need to wire the Shure MoveMic Receiver to the mobile device via 3.5mm cable.

Q: 2. Can I use this in replace to normal Lavalier systems? Recording straight into my camera as opposed to using a phone?

A: Yes, you can use the Shure MoveMic Two Receiver Kit 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System for Mobile Devices and Cameras in place of other wireless lavalier systems. You can record straight to your camera by connecting the Shure receiver to its external mic input to via one of the included 3.5mm to 3.5mm or 3.5mm to XLR cables.

Q: 3. If both transmitters are in use, are their signals separate in the receiver?

A: The Godox MoveLink II M2 Compact 2-Person Wireless Microphone System has a two-channel receiver that can be set for mono or stereo output when using both transmitters. In mono mode, the audio from both transmitters is combined so you hear them both mixed together on the left and right channels (same audio on both sides). In stereo mode, the audio from the transmitters will be separated, so you will hear the audio from one transmitter on the left channel and the audio from the other transmitter on the right channel.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Exalux Control One?

A: No, the Exalux system runs on a CRMX, DMX512 protocol system we suggest looking into the following adapter which works with the Exalux system via DMX input and will provide a Lumen Radio CRMX protocol signal. Q: 6. Will the TX work with a shure SM63 hand held mic or do I need phantom power? Connecting RX to Sony a7c.

A: The Shure SM63 Dynamic Microphone can be connected to the input on the wireless transmitter for the Godox MoveLink II M2 Compact 2-Person Wireless Microphone System. You can use the Kopul LMT100 Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer (B&H # KOLMT100) as an adapter to enable the connection.

Q: 7. Does this record the two tracks in stereo or mono?

Q: 10. If I'm using the receiver to output to my camera, do I need the app? For setup before first use or during the shoot?

A: If you are using the Shure MoveMic Two Receiver Kit 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System for Mobile Devices and Cameras to output and record to a camera with a 3.5mm audio input, you won't need to use the Shure MOTIV app. You'd only need this app if you were connecting the transmitters to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

[Bus Power (USB)] I have a similar size Rode mic that I love but the last time shooting video with my camera that does not permit me to monitor audio while shooting I noticed after-the-fact that the mic was rubbing up against the performers shirt and I recorded horrible scratching noises forcing me to reshoot my scene. This mic has a headphone jack which allows one to listen to what is being sent to the camera. The quality of the audio was very good and I am delighted with my purchase.
