The black Countryman I2 Acoustic Guitar Mic Kit TA4F Blackfrom Countryman I2 Acoustic Guitar Mic Kit TA4F Blackis a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and positions the acoustic guitar mount and pickup on the center hole of this instrument. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a TA4F connector for direct connection to Toa WM-4300 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.

The hypercardioid polar pattern has a narrower pickup pattern in its front than the cardioid polar pattern. It offers better rejection of ambient noise and the working distance is about twice that of the omni polar pattern. The hypercardioid has a small "pickup lobe" directly behind the microphone and exhibits maximum rejection areas behind and to the sides (about 60 degrees away from the rear of the microphone on either side) of the mic. The hypercardioid pattern works best when the loudest unwanted sounds—like speakers—can be positioned in these nulls.

Q: 1. Hi! I would like to connect a XLR 48v phantom power mic to my Gh5S for better sound. Would this item work for that???

A: Yes, this is designed for exactly that use.

Q: 2. How do you attach a B6 mic to this clip? I have not seen any pictures of how to do this.

A: The cable goes into the little grabber on the top of the clip. This one is for the B3 though. The version for the B6 is here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/295893-REG/Countryman_E6CLIPB1_E6_B6_Replacement.html

Q: 3. I am doing a Facebook Live broadcast. I want to run a direct signal from my board, M32r Midas or mr18, into my iphone with a stereo signal. Can I directly from my board to this and thento my phone or is there a better way for pristene sound? Thanks

A: The iRig is going to be the simplest and cleanest method to get audio from your board into your iPhone.

Q: 4. I take it if there is a switch for record/playback this device probably can’t do playback while recording? I do track recording and normally play previous tracks through headphones while recording and I wondered if this one can do that.

A: You must download a recording application supporting real-time input/output pass-through. Then you are able to monitor the audio during recording.

Q: 5. Hey! I have a Sennheiser MD 46 dynamic microphone. Do you know if the preamps in the linkflex-ad2 are good enough to use with this dynamic microphone? I would like to use the linkflex to connect the MD 46 to an iPhone (and possibly my good old Zoom H2). Would that work?

A: The Linkflex specs show up tp 20dB of gain. which may be enough gain, depending on your subjects volume level. One question is, how much electronic noise will be added to the signal? Another question is, how will the MD46 sound if you must turn the Linflex up to full level on its level control. A big part of how a microphone will sound, is the impedance of the mic pre (the Linkflex) amplifier. The noise spec is not listed in the spec sheet, so I would be weary of this. It may be a lot to include, but this is the reason these; Cloudlifter CL-1, are included in the signal chain with dynamic mics, to improve, not only gain, but performance... Q: 6. Does anyone know if it is possible to send a Line Level signal into this unit?

A: Absolutely YES. It has XLR & 1/4" combo and 3.5mm inputs, so for line-level choose the 1/4" or 3.5mm inputs and use the level controls to dial in the level you desire.

Q: 7. Does this work with DPA microphones?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones DA4 can be used with DPA microphones. The DA4 is an adapter that can be used with any Microdot-equipped microphone and it converts the Microdot connector to a TA4F plug for connection to a wireless microphone transmitter with a TA4 input jack.

Q: 8. Can this be used with the Cisco Webex Meetings app on iOS? Will it output and input audio at the same time?

A: According to Saramonic's marketing team, the SmartRig+ is not recognized by the Cisco Webex Meetings app on iOS. The iPhone does recognize it when used to connect your external microphone, but once the Webex app is loaded, it is no longer recognized. While the SmartRig+ is not compatible with the Webex app, it does work with Zoom.

Q: 9. Does this unit have any mounting holes on the back, to attach to a rig if using for microphone input to an iPhone?

A: The Saramonic SmartRig+ Di has a 1/4''-20 thread on the back of it.

Q: 10. Does this microphone include the flute mount?

A: Yes. The flute mount is included as a part of this kit.
