The light beige Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic, Low Gain, 2mm Cable, Hirose Connectoris a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 6-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Samson BT3, CT2, TX4, and UT4 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the Rycote Lyre Shock-Mount of the Rode VideoMicro also work with the Rode Videomic Me?

A: No it does not, and is not sold separately anyway.

Q: 2. If I am placing my receiving units relatively near the transmitters and using a snake box to the mixer is there a need for this antenna? It was included in my quote - possibly unnecessarily. Thanks.

A: No, in the situation as you describe the antenna is not necessary.

Q: 3. Would this mic work for iphone 7 plus?

A: I bought one for my iPhone 5s and it worked but there was less than a 1 decibel improvement over the phone by itself In my opinion it was not worth my investment. I don't even use it.

Q: 4. how many microphones can connect too this ?

A: This antenna can receive signal from any number of active transmitters within range (based on the antenna's position and gain settings) that are transmitting between 470698 MHz. To clarify, this item's purpose in your wireless setup is to act as an extension of your receivers which, when properly placed and configured according to your application, can improve your transmitter(s) signal reception. However, it should be noted that your receivers are the devices that are actually connecting (or syncing) with your transmitters to interpret the captured signal of each active wireless microphone or bodypack. Thus, any limitations in number of transmitters you are able to use simultaneously would be based on the capabilities and coordination of your receivers rather than the number or type of antennas you are using.

Q: 5. Are these made for permanent outdoor use?

A: No, the Shure UA874 Active Directional Antenna is not designed or rated to be installed outdoors. Shure recommends an antenna such as the Winegard Elite 7550 Amplified Outdoor/Attic HDTV Antenna (BH #WIWE7550A) as an alternative for use in permanent outdoor situations: https://bit.ly/3HWHJOA

Q: 6. Will it fit on a galaxy s6 active

A: Yes

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the NP-L7S type battery? Trying to power my soundevices 664. I'm not sure the cup is big enough to fit the NP-L7S. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

A: The PSC battery cup will support an NP-L7S battery.

Q: 8. Is this wired for and will it work to power a smallhd ac7 from a Sony f5

A: I'm using this to power up my lectrosonics transmitter via battery bud with a NP-1 battery. If your F5 has an external power source and has a hirose plug for that job, than yeah ot should be able to power up a small ac7

Q: 9. I’m powering my 702 sound device Need 4pin Hirose x 5.5x2.5

A: This cable is meant for a Lectrosonics system. The cabling you require is dependent on what power source you are coming from. If using a BDS distribution system, here is a cable you could use: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/283346-REG/Remote_Audio_BDSCSQN_CSQN_BDS_Power_Output.html/specs If from a different power source, I would recommend calling in and speaking with a sales representative for the proper cabling.

Q: 10. Will this work while filming in Facebook Live? Streaming live video?

A: No reason why it shouldn't. Just give facebook live access to your microphone.

[Light Beige] Our pastor uses this mic for sermons and other events in a large sanctuary. We also record the sermons for online distribution and the recordings are crisp and clear. Because the mic stays the same distance from the mouth no matter which way the user turns their head, there are never any more quiet or more loud moments (other than the user raising or lowering their voice). This helps to ensure excellent consistency. I would recommend this mic to just about anyone. The only down-side is that it takes a little longer to put on and take off than most clip-on lav mics.

[Light Beige] Going from a Shure WL93 to a Countryman E6 is like going from a Ford Pinto to a Audi A8. The Sound is fantastic. We work in an incredibly reflective, medium sized hall, and feedback is no longer an issue. The only issue that I've personally encountered is that we are still using Shure ULX wireless transmitters/recievers, and even with the gain on both maximized, it's still not quite enough. Having to then add gain on the board adds some unwanted background noise; however, I don't blame the mics for this issue, but instead our wireless system. Overall, Great mics.
