The tan Countryman E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Low Gain, TA4F Connectoris a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6 earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Anchor Audio WB-6000, WB-6400, and WB-8000 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do you connect the Shure with a sennhesier pack?

A: Not easily. The Shure microphone is a TA4F/Mini XLR. Sennhesser uses a locking 3.5 mini connector on many of their wireless bodypack transmitters. We do not sell an adapter for this purpose.

Q: 2. Can I plug this mic directly into my Nikon d7000 as an audio input for my video recordings?

A: The Polsen PL4 will work with the Nikon D7000, however since the PL4 mic has a mono connector, and the D7000 features a stereo mic input, your audio will only be recorded to the left side. This can be adjusted after the fact in most video editing software.

Q: 3. Would this microphone work well for picking up noise on a basketball court for broadcast?

A: It depends on the sound you want recorded. This will pick up all the sound in the room (depending on the size of the room) which could include unwanted sounds from the crowd or other noises.

Q: 4. How long is the cable?

A: The cable is about 1 meter in length.

Q: 5. Does this works with DJI Mic ? If i connect it to the 3.5mm port of the transmitter ?

A: Although we have not tested these two items together, the Polsen PL-4 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with 1/8" (3.5 mm) Connector should be capable of use with the DJI Mic 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder for Camera & Smartphone.

Q: 6. Is it compatible with Rode wirelless go II?

A: Yes it is we tried it in Pro Audio store with Rode wireless it works

Q: 7. how long is the cable?

A: The cable is five feet long.

Q: 8. Is is work in Rode wireless go? Thanks

A: Yes

Q: 9. can this be adapted to connect to my mixer? Is it compatible with phantom power?

A: You can use an adapter such as the Rode VXLR Plus (B&H # ROVXLRP) to connect the Sennheiser MKE Essential omnidirectional lavalier microphone to your mixer. The MKE Essential requires plug-in power and the VXLR Plus adapter can be used to convert the 3.5mm locking plug to XLR and it also converts phantom power from the mixer to plug-in power for the mic.

Q: 10. Will this shure TwinPlex TL48 work with rodelink?

A: Yes, the Shure TwinPlex TL48 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone can be used with a RodeLink transmitter, but a Microdot adapter such as the Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter - Black (B&H # DEDA35) is needed to enable compatibility
