The black Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic for Azden Transmittersis a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Azden UHF 41BT wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this mic work for iphone 7 plus?

A: I bought one for my iPhone 5s and it worked but there was less than a 1 decibel improvement over the phone by itself In my opinion it was not worth my investment. I don't even use it.

Q: 2. Can this mic be used on samsung galaxy s5 ? The jack on S5 is on the top so would that be a issue ? If yes how to resolve it ?

A: I dont think it would be an issue so long as the jack is not over the camera. If it is then the microphone would cover the camera when attached. I have a galaxy s6 (jack at the bottom) and it works perfectly with my cinema fv-5 app.

Q: 3. Is the included wind shield the same as the Rde WS9 (B&H # ROWS9)?

A: Scott, stay away from B&H photo

Q: 4. Most demonstrations of the Rode VideoMic Me emphasize audio for closeups--either selfies or interviews. How will the mic work at greater distance from the sound source--10 feet, for example?

A: Just like any other mic, John. Camera mounted mics, boom mics...any mics sound better when you are closer and worse when you are further away. The Rode video mic does have an interference tube to help block out sound from the side, which does help. It's WAY better than the little pinhole mic in the phone. When I get further away, I use a lavalier mic. I do have a long cord, but I prefer to plug the lavalier into a small Zoom audio recorder, which fits in the pocket. Then I snyc up the sound in post. Otherwise, I keep my subject close up.

Q: 5. Can this microphone be used on the BT 1000 mk2 series of transmitter? Thankyou!

A: This mic is only confirmed to be compatible with the 41BT transmitter, so although it may be compatible with other transmitters with a 4-pin Hirose input connector this cannot be guaranteed.

Q: 6. Can I use this with my smartphone (galaxy s5) as a hands free device for the car? The phone is already paired with a fm Bluetooth device.

A: This mic plugs into the earphone jack, and once plugged in I would expect to get no sound from the phone as the phone will think that you are using earphones. I would suggest either asking Rode or you phone provider.

Q: 7. I just bought a Letv Le1 pro x800, it's the second phone of the company. It works on EUI, an operative system whose base is Android. Does anyone see any reasons why the mic wouldn't be working on this phone??

A: Unfortunately without testing the units we would be unable to confirm, however from specs available, the unit features a TRRS jack for headphone/mic and should work properly.

Q: 8. Will this MIC work with FilmicPro - I'm thinking about the playthroug-function when recording (iPhone &)?JS

A: Chances are that it will but we have not tested it. Please check withe app developers on this: a href= http://www.filmicpro.com/support/ target= _blank http://www.filmicpro.com/support//a

Q: 9. SAMSUNG GALAXY 7 EDGE?

A: I bought mine for an iPhone 6 and did't like the mic as it produced hisses and pops. The phones mic is better that this one.

Q: 10. Does the Rycote Lyre Shock-Mount of the Rode VideoMicro also work with the Rode Videomic Me?

A: No it does not, and is not sold separately anyway.
