The black Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic for Shure Wireless Transmittersis a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure AD1, ADX1, AXT100TA4F, GLXD1, PGXD1, QLXD1, and ULXD1 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it fit on a galaxy s6 active

A: Yes

Q: 2. Would this device be good for recording bird song? Birds can be 100 or more ft away.

A: No, the Rode VideoMic Me Directional Mic for Smartphones is designed to work like a "selfie" mic to record audio while recording video closeup and within in a few feet from the smartphone. It will not pick up birds from as close as 20 feet away. It is not a good mic for recording birdsongs. If you are going to be recording birds that are 100 feet or further away, you will need a specialized setup with a parabolic dish for capturing sounds from very far. You would also want to use a digital recorder that will capture higher quality audio. Please contact our pro audio department by phone or through live chat on the website and we can help you to put together a setup that will be best suited for your needs and budget.

Q: 3. Will this also work on DSLRs?

A: No, it will not. The design of the friction mount included with the Rode VideoMic Me Directional Mic for Smartphones, B&H # ROVMME, makes it virtually impossible to connect to the microphone input terminal on a DSLR camera or mirrorless digital camera which normally is on the side of the camera. There are small options from Rode designed for camera usage with a different terminal connection, such as either the relatively small Rode VideoMicro Compact On-Camera Microphone, B&H # ROVIDEOMICRO, or the slightly larger Rode VideoMic GO Lightweight On-Camera Microphone, B&H # ROVMG, all currently similarly priced (as of the date/time of this reply).

Q: 4. The overview states that it will accommodate a wide range of smartphones. Can you be more specific on what phones the mic does and does not fit?

A: The VideoMic Me will work fine with any smartphone that has a TRRS jack on the edge of the device, as long as the camera is not blocked by the rear of the mic mount. This mount is flexible and will adjust to accommodate the thickness of most smartphones on the market.

Q: 5. I use a lens for my smartphone that covers the external microphone and muffles the audio, will the microphone cancel that microphone out and record the audio itself?

A: I have no problem with this mic on my Iphone7s. It gives great sound quality. Much better than your phonemic. you might want to try the moments' lens and cover for your phone. also, go to there website at it is great info on iPhone filming. They have a Youtube channel as well at shopmoment

Q: 6. Does this support Huawei phones???pls give me an answer.

A: any phone jack port that has audio and mic which is almost all will work. it has a port or listening in the rears you may want to take advantage of listening as you record because its a directional focus mic you loose a lot of noise near you.

Q: 7. I just bought a Letv Le1 pro x800, it's the second phone of the company. It works on EUI, an operative system whose base is Android. Does anyone see any reasons why the mic wouldn't be working on this phone??

A: Unfortunately without testing the units we would be unable to confirm, however from specs available, the unit features a TRRS jack for headphone/mic and should work properly.

Q: 8. Does this mic work with the LG G6?

A: It works through the headphone jack. Doesn't require any support from the software. So as long as the G6 has a headphone jack, it should work.

Q: 9. Can I use this with my smartphone (galaxy s5) as a hands free device for the car? The phone is already paired with a fm Bluetooth device.

A: This mic plugs into the earphone jack, and once plugged in I would expect to get no sound from the phone as the phone will think that you are using earphones. I would suggest either asking Rode or you phone provider.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with a Shure MLX1 Bodypack Transmitter J10 band? thx

A: This Shure MX153 Earset Headworn Microphone has a TA4F (4-pin mini-XLR female or "TQG") connector which is compatible for use with Shure bodypack transmitters. I think the model for your transmitter may be BLX1 (not MLX1 - there was a typo on some of the product descriptions from other retailers). But regardless of the model number for your transmitter, the MX153 microphone will work with Shure bodypack transmitters. The connector type and wiring configuration are what matter for compatibility of the microphone and transmitter, not the wireless frequency band that the system operates on.
