The light beige Countryman E6X Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Low Gain, Detachable Cableis a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Happie Amp or Empower Sound and Amazing Amp wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you remove the locking ring?

A: The locking mechanism on the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (Black) is not standardly removable.

Q: 2. I need a mike to match with an old ECM-50PS. Would this have similar sonic, gain characteristics?

A: It's close for our purposes but we just do talking heads. We are on a limited budget and purchased them. I would suggest 55B if you want to match 50PS

Q: 3. Do these earphones come bluetooth-ready, or do I have to purchase the bluetooth cable-adapter separately?

A: These are not Bluetooth compatibe. They are connected with a 3.5mm cable.

Q: 4. Will this mic work with Scarlett Focusrite 2i2?

A: Yes, the microphone will work with the interface. However, please note: battery power only, does not accept phantom power.

Q: 5. Would the 44-b use the XLR-Line or the XLR-Mic audio setting on the camera?

A: The ECM-44B is a microphone, so it outputs mic-level voltage. You would want to use the mic level setting on your camera or recording device.

Q: 6. Can this be used with the original wireless go system?

A: Yes, the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone can be used with the original Rode Wireless GO system.

Q: 7. Can I take of wind screen?

A: Yes

Q: 8. Can I connect to the Rode Wireless GO II 2?

A: Since the BOYA BY-M2D Dual Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphones have a detachable Lightning cable with a standard 3.5mm TRS connector and operate using plug-in power, the BY-M2D should work with a standard 3.5mm TRS male to 3.5mm TRS male cable like the Pearstone Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable (B&H # PEMMSA103B) to connect to other devices that have a standard 3.5mm TRS mic input and supply plug-in power. Although we have not tested it with the Wireless GO II transmitter, the BY-M2D should work when using the stereo mini aux cable.

Q: 9. Will this improve the SQ of a cell phone for recording live music? (Big concerts so stereo recording is not needed). Needs to be lapel style.

A: An external microphone will improve the audio over the built in mcrophone of the mobile phone.

Q: 10. How long is the actual cord?

A: 10 feet
