It features HDMI, VGA, and USB inputs, allowing you to transmit either an HDMI or VGA video signal up to 328' over a single Cat 5e/6 unshielded twisted pair cable, sold separately. You can keep both signals connected and toggle between them via a long-press of a Source Auto button. A corresponding indicator light will confirm which input is the active one. The USB 2.0 Type-B port allows connecting and transmitting a peripheral signal, such as a keyboard or smart board.

The HDMI input supports up to UHD 4K30 signals and the VGA input up to 1920 x 1200. Compatible receivers for point-to-point setups include the MuxLab 500759-RX, 500770-RX, 500771-RX, and 500777-RX. Point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations can also be set up by connecting multiple transmitters and optional receivers to a 1 Gb/s Ethernet switch with PoE. In a workflow with an Ethernet switch, the switch will deliver PoE power to all the devices. Otherwise the MuxLab 500993 power supply, sold separately, will be required.

If you'll be using a Ethernet switch, it must have Gigabit ports, jumbo frame capability, DHCP server capability, and PoE. For multipoint-to-multipoint scenarios, it will also need to support the IGMP communication protocol. MuxLab recommends the Cisco SG350 or SG550 series managed switches.

For centralized configuration, control, and software updates, and for management from the MuxControl mobile app as well as third-party control apps, you can also incorporate the MuxLab Pro Digital Network Controller, sold separately, to be used with multiple of these transmitters and corresponding receivers.
