Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. My camera has a fixed 49mm lens. Will this work? do I need an adapter?

A: Yes, you need a 49mm adapter. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2YWAePT

Q: 2. How does this compare to the Progrey Titan CPL?

A: I'm sorry but B&H does not carry Progrey filters so i cannot comment but I can say that Lee filters are very good and have been used by professionals for many years. Other quality brands include Nisi, Haida, Formatt and H & Y.

Q: 3. Are these filter frames only for use with the Nikkor Z holder?

A: That is correct, the LEE Filters Standard Filter Frame (100x100mm) with Single Pouch BH #LE100FS • MFR #100FS is for the Lee NIKKOR Z 14-24 f2.8 S Holder, https://bhpho.to/2YRgjaT .

Q: 4. Will this Lee filter fit in the NiSi 150mm filter holder?

A: Yes, it should fit regardless of which NiSi filter holder system you own. I have both the original filter system that came out before the newest one that has the circular polarizer built into it. As long as its a 150x150 filter, it will work.

Q: 5. Can you store a 95mm circular filter in this bag safely?

A: Sure !

Q: 6. This a square circular polarizing filter. For those who bought this, how do you adjust it while using it with other filters such as graduated neutral density and still maintain the right composition with the position of the graduated filter?

A: Unfortunately with this system there is no option to rotate a polarizer independently of a grad filter. I would recommend getting the Nisi holder for 150mm filters. As far as I know, they are the only brand that has round 150mm polarizers for their system and your lee filters will fit in the slots.

Q: 7. Will this fit a Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 8. will this bag hold B+W filters that are designed to fit on lenses as attachementround filters up to 82mm?

A: Yes, I have the 105mm (round) Lee polarizer filter and it fits in the bag

Q: 9. Do the Lee Seven5 filters have a different degree of hard and graduated transition from the full size Lee filters? Or, is it just the physical size of the Seven5's that is different? The reason I'm asking is that I have the full Lee kit in 100mm filters that I use with my Fuji system. It works fine. Is there any advantage/difference other than physical size?

A: I use the 100mm and Seven5 Lee grads, on full-frame DSLR and compact Four-Thirds cameras respectively. Comparing the 100mm and Seven5 grads side by side, I see that the Seven5 filters are not just the 100mm grads cut to a different size. Rather, the Seven5 filters are fully scaled down, both the size and the graduation pattern, to be appropriate to the smaller lenses that they'll typically be used on. So, comparing the fade zone in the graduation in the two filters in say 0.6 Soft specification, you see that the Seven5 fade zone is shorter than in the 100mm filters. In this way, presumably you should get a similar graduation effect in your images with both the larger lenses you'll typically be using with the 100mm filters, and the smaller lenses you'll typically be using with the Seven5 filters. This matches with my experience with the two systems.

Q: 10. What is the filter factor for this filter??? Is any adjustment in exposure required?

A: Lee says there is no filter factor for the Elements Circular Polarizer Filter (72mm). But this filter will block 1 stop of light at the maximum density setting.

[2.2 lb] Wow what a difference this makes vs shooting through fabric, reflectors, or soft boxes. What an amazing diffused light this puts off, even with super shiny products. This is a must have for anyone shooting ecommerce, products or high relective surfaces. I wish I would have known and bought this 10 years ago, would have saved me so much time. Absolutely little to no editing for your white images, if exposed properly in camera.
I will be trying the different weights and styles soon!

[2.2 lb] I've only used once but am happy with the results it produces. It really softens edges which can give you a really pleasing soft quality of light.

[2.2 lb] We needed some diffusion material to soften our brand new LED lights at our television studio news sets when we transitioned from fluorescent fixtures. After comparing several different brands and options, I decided that Lee Opal Frost was perfect for our application. I searched on line to compare prices and found B&H to be extremely competitive. Plus they offered free shipping.
