The Rycote Windshield 9 Kit CMC-1 for Schoeps CMC 1 Micis a modular windshield offering robust protection against wind noise and vibration for any Schoeps CMC 1 mic amp fitted with an MK 4 or MK 41 capsule. It can be used indoors or outside for applications such as film, broadcast TV, wedding videography, sound design, and more.

When used with the included windjammer, the Windshield 9 Kit CMC-1 can provide up to 35 dB of wind noise reduction. The soft 62-shore Lyres deliver optimal shock absorption while keeping your mic securely in place. Thanks to the Mogami cable, short XLR connectors, and an XLR holder, tidy cable management is easy to achieve.

I don't make a lot of CDs here, but I do want them to be right. A previous supplier has stopped carrying them. I was happy to see that my friends at B&H picked them up. 5

[25 dB] I use a pair of these for my MS setup(cmc1’s, mk8, mk22). When these were released in 2019 it was welcomed with open arms. I went from a 13” to 6.7” Rycote windshield. Amazing! Size and weight is a big deal for me as I hike to my locations and I carry the mentioned MS setup plus an ORTF(2 ccm4’s). They perform excellent as expected and they draw less battery power than the CMC6. I had no reason to not own a pair. 5
