The B+W 67mm T-PRO UV Filter for Camera Lens Protectionis a general-use, clear filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. Aside from the reduction of unwanted blue casts, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections while providing over 99.8% light transmission, each glass surface includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers greater protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. The Nano coating associated with this filter provides an additional eighth layer over the MRC, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency.

B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. This filter features a thin, titanium-colored brass filter ring to minimize the potential for vignetting while enhancing durability and preventing jamming.

This UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Such filters help to keep dust and moisture from reaching your front lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the CPL included in this kit have any kind of coating to minimize reflections?

A: All filters are coated but this one does not have Multi-coating. I is the multi-coating that makes a big difference.

Q: 2. Hi, can you confirm if the Filter (glass) is actually 82mm diameter, and the magnetic adapter perform the downsize to 67mm ?

A: The filter in the Kase Wolverine Anti-Laser Magnetic Protection Filter with Magnetic Adapter (67mm) is 67mm. This is a link for the 82mm version, https://bhpho.to/3KJTPfp.

Q: 3. I have the FujiFilm filter adapter and want to know if a 49mm lens hood be attached to this filter for the T100V?

A: Yes, you can attach a 49mm hood.

Q: 4. If I got this for film photography, how many stops of light would I have to compensate for a film like hp5 or fp4?

A: The Kolari Vision UV Bandpass Lens Filter does not specify a filter factor since the factor varies based on the amount of UV light.

Q: 5. Is this a dual ring filter where you can turn the filter and make sure the lines of polarization are horizontal?

A: Yes. The NiSi 95mm Pro Circular Polarizer Filter has 2 rings. One rotates to change the polarization in the scene.

Q: 6. Is the filter ring made of brass or aluminum?

A: The ZEISS UV and POL filter housings are made from aluminum.

Q: 7. I am thinking of buying this filter or the B&W equivalent which is the best and better by how much? Thanks

A: Hoya and B+W both make some of the best filters on the market. B+W filters are among the highest quality filters available, especially the Kaesemann circular polarizer http://bhpho.to/1lEaCgA, which features Kaesemann foils, helping to provide the greatest amount of efficiency and color neutrality.

Q: 8. I have just purchased a Canon EOS 6D with 50mm f/1.8 II lens and was looking for a recommended lens protection filter. Is this the one or is it for specialised applications only.

A: I wouldnt suggest a circular polarizing filter for a protective filter. Polarizers are really meant to be used on sunny days to help cut down on the glare from non-metallic surfaces. They wouldnt be great to keep on the lens at all times, especially not when shooting in low light. You might look at a UV filter instead, such as the Hoya 52mm UV Haze NXT HMC Filter (B&H # HOUVN52).

Q: 9. Reviews say this filter is a lint/dust magnet. How best to clean it?

A: The Sensei DOC-CK Deluxe Optics Care and Cleaning Kit, BH # SEDOCCK would offer the best options for cleaning this Hoya filter or any of your lenses. https://bhpho.to/3UzaJ4p

Q: 10. Would this fit on a Sony/Zeiss 35mm 2.8 with E mount?

A: I have a Nikon lens with a 52mm circumference. When I bought the filter, all it specified was the size of the ring, not what manufacturer it was made for. It is a GREAT filter, I use it on all my lenses, now (whatever sized the lens requires). My guess is it would fit if your lense mount is 52 mm. You might Google E-mount difference from Nikon filter mount and see what comes up.

[Multi Coated] I use these for old Leica screwmount Elmar lenses. Better than the old push type since the do not cover the aperture. Also great glass.

[67 mm] This is a great filter, i was impressed with the quality of the build and lens. The construction alone is worth it.

[Glass] Nostalgia kick. Shooting B&W on an early Pentax H3 SLR with a factory f1.4 that I want to protect. The lens has the atomic glass that I've cleared with some sunlight, and this filter (with a step-up ring) will help keep off any dust and abrasion. I've had problems on other lenses with declining quality in filters from B+W and Hoya. One had loose glass right out of the box, the other had poorly-machined threads (a burr that nearly jammed onto the lens). Tiffen are still good, but seem to scratch easily. Heliopan of Germany may have chosen to raise prices to cover the cost of maintaining quality, which shows. A hat tip to the workers at Gräfelfing for putting pride in product. Recommended.

[0.12 lb] I love these filters, I used to buy B+W filters for the past 20 years until I bought and used my first PolarPro. I decided to switch given the frequent fake copies of B+W that started to appear in the market via Amazon. But then when I started using PolarPro, I realized the great quality of materials and advantages over other brands e.gr. The rugged side that facilitates removal, great optics and finishing
