Ideal for boaters and outdoor enthusiasts who won't let bad weather keep them inside and who require an optic that allows them to move and react quickly, the compact and durable Nikon 7x35 Action Extreme Binocularswill be an invaluable addition to any kit.

Their lenses push this model into the full-sized range, delivering enhanced low-light performance versus compact models, without the associated bulk or additional weight of larger ones, enabling them to be worn easily around the neck or carried without causing fatigue. To help mitigate the disorientation and discomfort often experienced when looking through binoculars on the water, the Action Extreme binoculars have a wide field of view and a comfortable exit pupil that keep the entire scene in view and minimize the movement of the horizon line. A long eye relief provides the room to back the eyes off the eyepieces for a more comfortable viewing position. The traditional Porro prism design, BAK4 prism glass, and anti-reflection fully multicoated optics deliver immersive high-contrast views that are bright and sharp, with accurate colors and a rich depth of field.

Complementing this optical performance are design details that allow the Action Extreme to withstand the rigors of outdoor life. The Porro prism design has an inherently balanced and comfortable feel in the hand for long-duration observation sessions, and the chassis is wrapped in a rubber armor that provides a sure and reliable grip in cold and wet weather. Their optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature and environmental conditions. A tethered one-piece ocular rainguard covers the eyecups as they hang around the neck and prevents rain and spraying water from filling them, and the objective lens caps can clip onto the neck strap to keep them safe from blowing overboard or being lost on the forest floor

From the trail, to the range, to the boat, the 7x35 Action Extreme binoculars are engineered to deliver the performance required by discerning observers without the bulk and weight of larger models.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What's are the conditions on this pair of Nikon binoculars. Is anything scratched, how is the lense and glass?

A: Refurbished items are products that for many reasons did not meet early quality controls at the factory so were not shipped initially. After testing, a manufacturer may determine a product meets all the specifications but does not want it sold as new. A “Refurb” is such an item; which has never been sold, meets the advertised specifications and includes a warranty which may be shorter than the original one offered for a “new” item. Refurbished products include all of the original OEM accessories but will not qualify for incentive promotions, instant savings or rebates. They do however have extended service plans available.

Q: 2. what are the turn & slide rubber eyecups?

A: The rubber eye cups allows the user to hold the binoculars up to their eyes with out having to worry about anything interfering with the viewing. An example would be to prevent eyeglasses from touching the eye piece. Also will prevent eyelashes from touching the eye piece. Turning the rubber eye cup causes them to slide in or out. Each time a eye cup is turned you will feel a click which means the eye cup has repositioned itself.

[Center] Simply put the field of view is fantastic! Although I am not an expert on optics, I have no problems with observations in the center of the field of view, and going out to the edge. For me, a very slight compromise in focus makes these binoculars very good.

[35 mm] As a long time college football season ticket holder I tried many times to find the right pair of binoculars. Nothing really worked for me until I tried the Nikon 7x35 Action Extreme's. The power brings the game to me but with a field of vision that allows me to follow the action without missing anything. This pair is for my son so he won't always be asking to use mine!

[7x] We needed a reasonably priced binocular to take on our Alaskan cruise. The reviews we checked chose this one and so did we. How happy we were with the clarity and ease of use we had with these binoculars! Great...just GREAT! Seeing the details of eagle's feathers--PRICELESS!

[35 mm] bought these for a budding bird-watcher who is 12 yrs old. The view is impressive, easy to sight with their wide view and easy to use with the well-placed focus ring. Not so lightweight but not too heavy for him.

[5 mm] I purchased these Action extreme ATB binoculars for bird watching. With the quick easy center focus they are ready to use any time. Light weight with an excellent field of view. I like the idea they are water proof an fog free as well. The click/turn feature of the eye pieces are a nice feature if I choose to use them when wearing my glasses. Great value and perfect for my application. Would recommend them to a friend any day!

[2.47 lb] I was looking for binoculars for bird watching in our backyard that were not too expensive. Most general reviews recommend pricier binoculars, but reading through reviews of the Nikon Action EX series binoculars made me try this one. I am very happy with these, they deliver a very sharp image overall with no color fringes. There's a slight fall off of focus, but only noticeable at the very edge of the field of view, so it does not distract from the otherwise great image quality. These have an outstanding field of view which makes them very useful for birdwatching. The close-focusing distance also means that they can be used to watch bird feeders just outside the window. The binoculars have a solid feel. Only quirk are the front lens covers, that don't go on easy and are separate (but I only use them when I store the binoculars). In the end, considering the price, this is an excellent buy!

[Porro] These Nikon 7 x 35 action ex bino's are great for sport stadium, concert & air show use. The 488' @ 1000yds field of view is exceptional, you wont miss a thing with these. I did have a pair of 6 x 30s with 420'ft. but these 7 x 35 Nikon's blew them away. Only improvements could be a blackened interior( for glare reduction, tho i haven't exp. this myself) & maybe a padded strap. All in All- Great compact Binoculars with ultra wide viewing! NIKON make Great Glass!
