No need to click a button or twist a bezel—with the SureFire Fury IntelliBeam Dual-Fuel LED Flashlight, you'll always have the light you need for the task at hand. The flashlight evaluates the scene and adjust light output accordingly, from a low of 15 to a peak of 1500 lumens. You have the option of overriding the auto-adjust, going straight to peak output with two clicks of the tailcap push-button switch. Power is supplied by the included 3.6V 18650 battery, fitted with a micro-USB recharging port.The light can also run on two CR123A batteries, with a peak output of 1100 lumens. Maximum runtime is 40 hours.

The Fury-IB-DF uses a precision micro-textured reflector for a smooth beam with a bright central area and enough surround light for situational awareness. Its O-ring-sealed, hard-anodized aluminum body is knurled for a comfortable grip, and the lens is crafted from tempered glass.

A: The flashlight would take a standard 9 volt battery. To change the battery the lens cap pulls off. Slide the internal components out to access the battery.

A: I was wondering the same thing AFTER I ordered the flashlight. Actually, I've had the flashlight for over a month now so the packaging is long gone, but I remember waiting for it to arrive just to see if it was the 200 lumen version and it was. I've read reviews from other websites and one person actually ordered 2 flashlights and received one with 139 lumens and the other with 200. The reviewer went on to say that he didn't notice a difference in brightness between the flashlights when compared side by side.

A: The LEDs emit visible red light but a particular frequency is not specified. So if you need something in the upper end of the near-infrared spectrum I would suggest looking for another light. This is a lower end light, consisting of two LEDs a rheostat and 9V battery connector in a non-weather resistant case.

[Glass] I have several SureFire flashlights and this is now my favorite. In addition to being very bright, it offers a personal defensive capability too. The performance ratings, such as maximum candela, appear to be correct based upon my measurements. Just think that it can light up an object located over three football field lengths away at 0.25 lx, which is the illuminance resulting from a full moon. I suggest that you purchase a spare SureFire 18650 Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery (one comes with the flashlight) and a pair of A123 batteries. The 18650 provides the greatest output. Also, the COAST S40 Sheath holds the Fury nicely. 5
