The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is tan and is hardwired with a 1mm diameter cable. It has a standard 3-pin XLR male connector for connection to professional sound systems.

A: The Countryman B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with 3-Pin XLR Hardwired Connection will not work into the Tascam Dr-05 with a XLR to 3.5mm adapter. The mic requires phantom power to operate. As an alternative, Countryman makes the EMW lavalier wired for Digital recorders; B&H# COMEMWSFF05B.

A: If the Zoom H1 has plug in power on the mic entrance, it will work. Look in the menu.I personally never tried with a Zoom H1, but I worked with a Zoom H2 and H2n with the B6. Works great. You only need a 3,5mm Jack on the B6.

[0.56 lb] I've been using B6 mics for a long time now for film. They sound great and are very easy to hide due to the tiny capsule. I'm not sure DPA and Sanken Cos 11d have been dethroned yet, but this guy is on par as far as I'm concerned--especially considering the ease of hiding it. 5

[0.56 lb] This is a great mic and much needed upgrade for the Sennheiser wireless kit. A little small and delicate if you are used to the Sennheiser lavs, but sound MUCH MUCH better. 5

[Tan] I'm an independent video producer, and this mic has been a terrific addition to my kit. It's incredibly easy to hide and has great quality sound. I use it with my Zoom (but make sure Phantom Power is on, since the mic doesn't come with it's own power source!), and it's a great set-up. 5

[10 x 10 x 2"] As a keyboard accompanist and supporting vocalist, I found it impossible to play my best when glued to a boom mic. I tried wireless but found it clumsy and the sound quality unreliable. Then I found this mic online. Yes, I have to remember not to stand up and walk away when it's clipped on, but it's well worth that effort. This wired lavalier has all the sound quality of a wired handheld and no wireless worries. 5

[Tan] After using one of these on another film crew, I marveled at it's small size, big sound and the ability to hide it. As soon as I got home I bought one. I've used this on two client shoots already and the sound is great. Client's love it because the lav is almost invisible while the talent was walking around the set. Next time I need to mic more than one person, I'll probably buy another one - it's that good. 5
