Designed to be used with the the QNAP Rail-E03 Rack Slide Rail Kit ES2486dc NASES2486dc NAS array, the QNAP Rail-E03 Rack Slide Rail Kit ES2486dc NASsupports racks measuring about 17.8 x 19.1" in width and height. The rail has a variable depth of between 24 to 36", allowing you to slide the NAS array out for maintenance, configuration, and upgrades. The Rail-E03 is compatible with 9.5 x 9.5mm round-hole and square-hole server racks.

A: Two kits of the Proaim 8' Track Aluminum Rail Kit for Polaris Dolly would not be able to be connected. The ends of the rails are not designed for interconnecting with other tracks.

Q: 3. Do these include any sort of spacers to stand off of the wooden walls of a rackmount case? They appear to not be able to sit flush.

A: The Gator Rack Rail for 12 RU Rackmount Cases (Pair) do not come with any included accessories such as spacers.

Q: 4. Specifications list a "1/4x20 mounting screw". This is the female mounting screw hole for mounting to a tripod . . . correct?

A: The Sunwayfoto DMP-200R Multi-Purpose Rail Nodal Slide does have 1/4"-20 sockets for mounting to a tripod but also includes a 1/4"-20 mounting screw.

Q: 5. Does this slide length work OK with at 14mm with a Nikon 14-24 on a full frame? I want to make sure it isn't so long that it appears in the bottom of the frame.

A: Tested with a Nikon D850 with the 14-24mm f/2.8, the lens does not protrude far enough to be visible at 14mm. It's the perfect length, actually; it does stick out a hair but isn't visible in the photo.

Q: 6. Do you recommend the 200 or the 140 for a Sony A7III with a 16-35 2.8? thanks

A: In my honest opinion, there is not much disadvantage to having a longer nodal rail in case you get a longer lens in the future and need more room for correcting for parallax. While we haven't tested this combination ourselves, from looking at the camera + lens combination I think in this case 140mm should just about work.

Q: 7. Wondering if there's a Cable Management Arm (CMA) that goes with this rail kit?

A: Unfortunately we do not currently carry a cable management arm from QNAP intended to accessorize with the TS-EC2480U-RP Rail Kit.

Q: 8. Am using Tamron 70-200mm G2 lens with Nikon D750 and Kirk L bracket.Would I be able to use this rail to get the optimal nodal point? TIA

A: Yes, this product would allow for the optimal nodal point with your current set up.

Q: 9. How much weight can this hold? Can it easily hold a medium format camera (Pentax 645z) with a larger, heavier lens (80-160mm zoom)?

A: The manufacture does not list the maximum load the rail can handle. It is pretty much a solid piece of metal so it can support a lot of weight.It is the head or other part you attach to the rail that is more of a concern for maximum load.

Q: 10. What is the load limit for this rail?

A: The Novoflex Castel-M Focusing Rack/Rail has a load limit of 8.8 lb.

The rails actually work with a 32 rack rail spacing although only spec'ed to work to 29. 5

This is also the rail kit for the TS-h2477XU-RP. Always verify compatibility. To install, slide the inner rails out (you'll need to pull on the white tab), and then the rails will slide/lock into place on the sides of the QNAP unit. Mount the slide rails in your rack, and slide the QNAP unit into the mounted rails. These rails are for a couple of the 4RU units; on the TS-h2477XU-RP, the rails mount on the 2nd RU from the bottom. So when you mount the rails in the rack, place them 1 RU up from where you want the bottom of the unit to be (or 2 RU down from the top). Rail mounting is straight forward, and mating to the QNAP with the inner slides happened with ease. Highly recommend the use of the appropriate rail kit with the QNAP rackmount units. 5

MyC Castel-M arrived this am and I have been running through its paces all day. It is an absolutely stunning piece of engineering! I mounted it horizontally on top of my WeMacro table stand on top of NiSi rail for extra clearance. Rock solid. 1. It is surprisingly easy and fast to ripoff a 120 image stack using a remote to trigger my Nikon. The dentents are easy to feel. Just remember to always move forward, never back! 2. I’d you move it 1 detention, wait a second or 2 for the rig to settle and then use a remote to trigger your shutter you are gold. Much easier than I was expecting. 3. The step sizes are set by the unit and are smaller than most calculators suggest, making got VERY sharp images. 4 I shot Fine Jpgs and stacked them in Zerene and the detail was a real WOW! 5. My biggest stack of the day was a 201 image stack that I clicked and shoot as fast as I could and it was super. Don’t worry if you get a double shot with the remote, Zerene can handle it. 6. I have 3 Laowa manual lenses and the all worked like a charm. 7.For 1x I will still use my autofocus Nikon and Sony macro lens with the in camera stacking. 8 For 2x - 5x I will probably be using the Novoflex because the process is so easy. 9. 5x and 10x microscope objectives on the WeMacro rail 10. Is the Novoflex M worth it? Yes. It’s easy and dare I say…fun to use! 5

First time I've assembled some rails for a NAS, but they seemed high quality and are pretty smooth. It was a little confusing about how to install them at first but eventually I got it together and seems like a good solution. 5
