The Nodal Ninja NN3 MK3 + Nadir Adapter Rotator Minienables you to create panoramic and virtual reality images with a camera and lens that weigh up to 3.3 lb. Also, this kit is suitable for lenses up to 50mm. The CNC-machined head is Arca-type compatible and is accompanied by a rotator that has a 90° ring. The ring has 4 stop increments, and an additional 60° ring wih 6 stop increments included as a spare. Other rings are available to have different rotation options.

A: No, you do not need the Nadir Adapter. But the adapter which does come with the other D10 kit, https://bhpho.to/377PbX0 Is an acra-swiss style mounting bracket. It attaches to the vertical rail and clamps to lower rail of NN3 MK3 and NN6 allowing for 180° rotation of upper assembly.

A: This rotator does not include the arca clamp. This rotator is to be used with Nodal Ninja Ultimate M2 heads and those heads usually include the arca clamp with the head.

Q: 10. Could one replace the Mini Rotator with a different one (CAVIX DH-55D Panoramic Panorama Indexing Rotator Ball Head ) ? If so, would its capacity increase to 5-7 lbs?

[2.335 lb] I've used my Nodal Ninja NN3 MK3 to help create several landscape panoramas, and it has performed flawlessly. Setup was as simple as it can be, and it performed well in the field. A great value for the price. 5

[2.335 lb] This panorama head is, most likely, what you are looking for in a panorama head. I was quite impressed with how very adaptable and easy to use it is. My heavy Nikon D810 with a large Sigma 14-24mm lens is held very securely. I have no fears of it slipping or coming lose. You don't have to use a screwdriver, I convenient knob is turned to secure the camera's tripod socket. This panorama head comes with two of the set screws (the smaller blue knob) to provide a quite adequate range of stops. For example, I use 8 stops for the 18mm setting on my zoom lens. One set screw at 90 degrees and the other at 90 + provides 8 stops. The stops are very firm and there is no doubt about it. By the way, a zoom lens is said to be less than ideal for panoramas, the concern being that the photographer may accidentally move the zoom ring and cause a quite imperfect panorama, I entertain no such fears. You will need a leveling base for this pano head unless you live in Square World where curves do not exist. A sad place, wouldn't you say? The Nodal Ninja comes with stops to retain the location of adjustments you have made to the two important camera location settings. Fires is the centering of the camera's longitudinal axis on the lower arm and the second is the setting of the no parallax point on the upper arm. All necessity tools and a number of specialized spare parts are included. The Nodal Ninja is more than a pano head, it is a scientific instrument for perfecting panoramas. 5
