A: The inside width is 5in. Although your mounting plate and TV might fit as a complete unit I would NOT recommend doing so. The plastic exterior would not be able to withstand any kind of blow on the mounting plate equivalent area which would cause harm to the TV. True there are two (2) vertical foam pads, that are three (3) inches wide, that run equidistant and vertically on either side of the TV cavity (which would leave the area for a mounting plate to be attached); however, that mounting plate area is unprotected. Huge risk there if you proceed.

A: This product is sufficiently sized to accommodate a 20 tablet, however it would be a little large if you are looking for a more snug fit.
