Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this film work in a Minolta Instant Pro camera?

A: Unfortunately, the Polaroid Color SX-70 Instant Film (8 Exposures) is not compatible with the Minolta Instant Pro camera. That camera uses Spectra film but it is no longer available.

Q: 2. Can this film be used in an RZ67 Polaroid back?

A: No, the Polaroid Color 600 Instant Film (Double Pack, 16 Exposures) can only be used in a Polaroid 600 and i-Type Camera. It does not fit into a polaroid back. The instant film that did fit is no longer made.

Q: 3. Is this similar to Polaroid Type 667 film originally used in the Model 100 Polaroid Land Camera?

A: No, the Polaroid Black & White 600 Instant Film (8 Exposures) is not compatible for use in cameras that used Polaroid 100 Film in their Model 100 Polaroid Land Camera. Unfortunately, there is no replacement for the now-discontinued Polaroid 100 peel-apart instant film such as the 667 Film..

Q: 4. Is there any Instax film I can put in a Hasselblad Polaroid bag by any chance? Kind of like Fujifilm fp100c....

A: The Polaroid Color 600 Instant Film (5-Pack, 40 Exposures) is not compatible with the Hasselblad Polaplus 100 Polaroid Film Magazine. This film back only takes instant peel-apart film or pack film, which has all been discontinued. Also, there are no Instax film types that can replace it.

Q: 5. Is this the same film that the emulsion can be manipulated for several minutes after exposure, and doesn't dry too quickly?

A: No, it is not like the original film of years ago. You can not move the emulsion around.

Q: 6. Will this 600 film work in a Vivitar Slide Printer?

A: Polaroid Color 600 Instant Film will not work in a Vivitar Slide Printer. It's an instant film for Polaroid 600-series cameras.

Q: 7. Chemically, is this any different to the old Polaroid Originals stuff?

A: This has a different chemical makeup due to tighter EPA restrictions now.

Q: 8. can you use i-Type film on the SX-70 camera?

A: The i-Type film is only for the i-Type cameras but you can use Polaroid Color SX-70 Instant Film (8 Exposures) BH #POSX70CLRFLM • MFR #6004 for the sx 70 cameras.

Q: 9. The "Polaroid" film says "used". Is it outdated? What is the expiration date? Question for SX70 AND 600 type films.

A: This Polaroid film including the Polaroid Color 600 Instant Film (8 Exposures), BH # PO600CLRFILM and the Polaroid Color SX-70 Instant Film (8 Exposures), BH # POSX70CLRFLM are brand new. The expiration date would be within 6 months to 1 year from now.

Q: 10. whats the difference between the film that has a battery and the polaroid film that doesn't ? is it just that you can only use this with a camera by polaroid?

A: The Polaroid Color i-Type Instant Film (5-Pack, 40 Exposures) is compatible with Polaroid i-Type cameras, including the OneStep 2, OneStep+, the Polaroid Now, and the Polaroid Lab. Because it is battery-free, it won’t work for vintage Polaroid cameras.

[0.23 lb] as much as I like the color sx-70 film, the black and white has so much more exposure range that it's hard to beat in nighttime or weird indoor situations

[Polaroid SX-70] Great results

[0.23 lb] This film is a bit on the expensive side (per shot, compared to Instax Wide), but the results are equally good. And it enabled me to use the venerable Polaroid SX-70, still arguably the best instant camera even today.

Last time I used my Polaroid SX-70, I have to deal with either expired old film or use a plastic ND filter with 600 film (and cut off some plastic notches). It is great to be back with my old friend SX-70, using native film.

Overall tonality and sharpness are pretty comparable to the old SX-70 film. I do need to under-expose by about one stop (using the dial), to get the best overall result.
